Looks really good. Very ballsy to tear apart an FL5 like that, but its fun when you have the right time, garage space, patience, and tools - (and the confidence!)
I couldn't read the article, because it is paywalled. But, my story is somewhat similar, but in the other direction, and then not.
Here's how it goes, its a fun read, I hope you enjoy it:
15 years in a FBP FG2, for 318k trouble-free miles, bought at MSRP in 06 and sold it for $4500, quite the...
I would wait until the kinks are sorted out, and the market chills out a bit. You’ll get a better car for a better price. That said, your LE will likely also be worth less. But the LE is a late production run, this one is a first production run.
If you have to ask, I think the LE will be worth...
Great that it’s getting taken care of. The more I look at it the more it looks like something splashed, hence the different “spots” - the spots are the splash. That’s my guess.
That to me looks like something dropped on the paint, like oil, fuel, or some chemical.
I’m honestly wondering if the detail shop didn’t somehow manage to screw up.
What a horrible choice by Honda on the exhaust tips. I hate the rear of this car. Too curvy. Happy 10th gen owner here.
Shame on Honda. Hopefully the aftermarket offers good options to fix that.
I’ve always felt the 10th gen is of the nicest Honda Civics made. But the 11th gen has the heritage right: simple and functional and unfortunately the 10th lacks both of those things in many many ways.
I know more women who can drive stick than men these days. So, really, the issue are the male crowd. "Men" who want to shave every fraction of a second they can to compete against who can make it faster from the green light to the upcoming light for brainless reasons.
Any fraction of a second...
Thank goodness, so tired of the automatic transmission profiferation garbage. Zoomers need to learn how to drive a 6MT and also to stop whining at everything.
I hope that never happens. We need more manuals, not less. If they do automatics will comprise most of the sales and it will yet be another excuse to get rid of manuals. Some cars just don’t belong to some people - they don’t want to learn.
