Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I will say paying $50k for a car does not make you wealthy. It may sound like a lot to someone young just starting out, but guess that’s just my opinion too.
Amen.
This is only the beginning unfortunately. People love to hate, and when it comes to a new model year, especially fans of a previous generation, will non stop pick apart this car for one thing or the other.
There’s just so much variance between what people are experiencing dealership to dealership, here in the US. Would be nice if we got some concrete info.
Let’s all hope US dealers start getting info shortly. Nobody I’ve spoken to knows anything yet. Good to see some dealers seem to have some info though.
Yeah, I say let the haters hate, even if I disagree. And we do all have to remember, anytime any new car comes out, the first people to talk mad shit, are the previous Gen owners mad that their car will not be the newest and coolest. Happened when the s550 Mustang came out, and all the s197...
And everyone says I hate on the FK8. I don’t get why it’s a bad thing, that this car is a tad bit reserved? I mean it still has custom widened fenders, that aren’t just pieces of plastic glued on, 265 width tires, hood vent, GT spoiler, etc. and people make it sound like it’s a base model Corolla.
Last generation had a 2000s era super street wing on it, that flexed like it was made of rubber. I am actually glad so many people prefer the wild styling of the FK8, to literally all other Type Rs before it. Gonna make this easier than I thought.
Totally just me over analyzing, but the Type R plaque has 5 digits, like the 10th Gen. So maybe this is a wink to them building somewhat similar numbers, or at least more than people are speculating. ?‍♂️
