Exactly. It's only to "homologate" it or basically legitimize it as a worthy car to have beaten the record. Then again, the version of the Megane that did it was also super limited. This will keep happening over and over for the good headlines and marketing.

Just another drag race. I realized I'm making the mistake of engaging in debates on these videos' comment sections and reddit posts about prices and value, only to realize these sites are generally full of people who aren't even serious about getting these cars.
I just hope that doesn't change. I hope this somehow "eases up" the market and diversifies it with some CTR guys moving over and Honda dealerships being forced to adapt.
I have to mention: I noticed a lot of some people from the meets I go to hating on the FL5 and thinking it didn't look Type R enough compared to the FK8. But also hate the ITS for its tacked on fender flares. Sometimes I get on them to make up their mind already :p.

That exhaust has me excited! It could just be purely promotional but I got really excited to see the 3 exhaust tips of the same diameter similar to the Milltek one. I wish they had designed this kind of noise in the teaser for the Type S on the FL5.
