As a follow up and fully OT for the forum, I did the same for my 2025 CR-V Hybrid and what a huge difference it makes! It's far more dramatic than the CTR due to 'push gas petal into the floor, make awful buzzing engine noise' that comes from the thing. Now it sounds like plain ole LFB51. It...
I removed the ANC module! After giving up two times trying to get the vent out, I was able to successfully remove it and unplug that damn thing.
I notice absolutely zero difference with Engine Sound having been kept on Comfort mode, but if I switch over to the go-fast button, at least I know it...
GT7 has an FL5. It's quite fun with PSVR2 and your choice of compatible wheel/peddles.
I would imagine Horizon 6 will have an FL5 given it takes place in Japan.
I pulled the TCU from my 2025 Type-R, super easy with some plastic spudgers. Also decided to remove the TCU on my 2025 Hybrid CR-V; start from the passenger side towards the window rather than the portions that surround the infotainment section. TCU is the same part # for both cars. I found the...
@Serge81 I appreciate your response! I was able to resolve the CEL by putting the OE thermostat back. Wasn't a leak issue with the Spoon, just that Spoon kept the water at ~154F with street driving. OE brings that up to ~172F and hasn't thrown a CEL since.
Thanks for responding here on the ECU...
Who does remote unlocks? I wanted to go Hondata given the pre-built maps to get a plain jane 91 octane bump but didn't really want to give up my ECU for N days.
PRL coolant tank is already done! The engine bay needed more red. PWR & Acuity Reverse are what I have (well, radiator pending).
Cool (figuratively)! Thanks!
I have a P0128, know the cause and will be going back to the OE thermostat to resolve it, at least until I can jailbreak the ECU (maybe).
But should I expect the same/similar issue with a PWR Weekend Warrior Radiator, including Acuity Super-Cooler Silicone Radiator Hoses (or even OE radiator +...
Is the temp sensor as easy to replace as disconnecting the battery, removing the hose that goes into the nose ("top", not sure what to call it) of the sensor, undoing the three bolts that hold the sensor in place, then replacing it with the replacement sensor w/ bolts @ 18 ft lbs/24Nm &...
Any one Washington or Oregon have a reputable mechanic for jailbreaking and/or tuning on a dynamo? I’m coming up empty on searches for mechanics who do this specifically for Hondas.
I don’t mind if I need to send the ECU to Hondata, but would like a professional tune.
Glad I found this thread. My FL5 has 250 miles on it and I noticed a low speed squeeking, both shortly after first driving (unfortunately I've only been driving once per week or so) and again after going low speed (25mph or less) after a good 30 - 45 minute highway speed drive.
Sounds like I...
