I have a P0128, know the cause and will be going back to the OE thermostat to resolve it, at least until I can jailbreak the ECU (maybe).

But should I expect the same/similar issue with a PWR Weekend Warrior Radiator, including Acuity Super-Cooler Silicone Radiator Hoses (or even OE radiator + Super-Cooler Silicone Radiator Hoses)?

I also have a PWR 87mm Billet Intercooler w/ PRL Charge Pipe Kit ready to install, though not the same system so I figure shouldn't be an issue. I was going to do the intercooler & radiator at the same time, but second guessing the radiator and/or hoses.

Obviously these are bigger deals to install and I don't want to throw a P0128 again without jailbreaking, first.

Goal is to ultimately do occasional track days for fun and at some point jailbreak for the free 91 octane boost (sadly no 93 or E85 readily available).

You won’t throw a code for a intercooler and/or radiator upgrade. A different thermostat will throw a code as you’ve found out.

If you’re going to be tracking the car, do yourself a favor and get it all done at once…

Radiator (preferably WOT, CSF or PWR)
Coolant tank (any brand)
Acuity Reverse flow hoses

Since you have to drain the system anyway, may as well get it all over with. (I would even argue adding a WOT plate and an oil cooler to the build if you got the cash.)

PRL coolant tank is already done! The engine bay needed more red. PWR & Acuity Reverse are what I have (well, radiator pending).

Cool (figuratively)! Thanks!
