I bought the street version of the PWR radiator. What’s the likely hood of it being too cold. And if it does throw a code, wouldn’t it go away if I do a reset? The issue would be on a daily drive and not at the track. I’m trying to understand the risk to see if it’s worth installing it. The idea was to do the install all at the same time.
The radiator alone will not throw a code so no worries there.

Modern cars can throw a code if the engine takes too long to reach operating temperature. You can just clear it, but it might be a nuissance. I don't know what the Type R's threshold is for that sort of thing, so I'm not sure if putting in a lower temp thermostat would be problematic. Like @Jester04 said, with a tune you could simply turn it off.

If it were me I'd probably hold off on the lower temp thermostat and just blast the heat in the car when tracking for added insurance.
