Curious why you didn't go a similar route to the 10th gen N1 upgrade with a replacement CMC. The OEM 11th gen CMC is a plastic unit that looks like it might crack if you look at it wrong lol.
It's already a known fact that the rods in the L15CA are not the same as the rods in any of the 10th gen L15 motors. The rod bearing journal is about 4mm wider and also larger in diameter.
It seemed like they were running an extremely aggressive tune on the car with straight E-85 to push the limits of the engine. No tuner worth a crap would push the limits like this on a customer car.
At the end of the video they go over the traction control settings, and if you don't know or...
On an educated guess, I bought myself a Whiteline RMM insert for a 10th gen Civic and tried to fit it into my 11th gen Si. It went in perfectly without issue, but doesn't completely fill in all the voids in the 11th gen mount. If anything it might make the mount feel a little less vibey...
That's awesome. I disliked the lack of the sunglasses holder in the Si. I ended up using a magnetic visor clip that works, but its not as clean as this OEM solution.
For sure a lot of the comfort and handling changes come from how the dampers are tuned and also how much stiffer the 11th gen springs are. The extra chassis rigidity on the 11th gen will also change those dynamics.
You have two options. The easiest one is to just disable the secondary o2 sensor in KTuner. The second option is to use an o2 sensor defouler to trick the ECU.
I'm still breaking in the clutch and have just over 500 easy miles on it so far. I've been running it on the Phearable 1.5R map1 until I hit 600 miles and I'll start giving it the beans. Nothing out of the ordinary to report.
I don't think going to a stage 2 is really worth it unless you...
I did the stage 0, OEM FK8 clutches easily hold 400 wtq which is way above any goals I have for this car. I would say between 5-10% stiffer clutch pedal with way more 'feel' in the pedal. Its hard to say how much of the pedal feel is changed due to the PRL stainless steel clutch line or the...
I did a very easy engine and clutch break in for 2k miles before I did any hard full throttle pulls and fast shifts. I installed the KTuner and Phearable 1.5R map and got the clutch to slip within 4 days on map3. If you keep it on map2 you should not have any issues, so stay away from map3 if...
My stock clutch was slipping in 4th gear with the Phearable 1.5R tune on map 3, on an otherwise stock car besides a drop in Sprint P-08 air filter. I decided to just limit myself to map 2 until I could get a new clutch installed. I just picked the car up from having the RV6 FK8 retrofit...
IMO if you are staying stock turbo they will perform about the same. If you upgrade to a big turbo I think the PRL will perform better since its 3" all the way back. The 27Won tapers from a little over 3" to 2.5".
I bought a used spare kit from a Acura TL Type-S on eBay for cheap. It came with everything including the foam, jack, wrench etc... Everything fits like OEM.
I think the same FK8 front and FE1 rear spring setup would work great on a 10th gen just fine, its a great OEM+ no drop upgrade.
That's a pretty good idea to pull the hangers and lower the exhaust to snake the swaybar out. I would have done that if I knew or thought to do that lol. My monkey...
