What I was saying is even if you are picky on your ceramic application you can still get rock chips - because it won't protect from that. So keep your expectations appropriate.
Wash, decon, and 1 step correction is a must if you don't want a bad ceramic job. You usually don't have any more than light swirls or marrs from transit, but you don't want that under the coating.
You could do it yourself for cheaper, and if you're going to a "friend" or a lower cost place you...
Sorry, where is eagle A/S offered stock? Ive only known PS4S as OEM with the FL5, and is a summer tire.
Conti DWS, Eagle sport A/S and PS A/S are all seasons and would be expected to handle differently - which is ok if you need an A/S.
Some others have said conti was too squishy. The DWS is also an AS tire. The comparable conti I think is the extreme contact sport02, which others have also said isn't as responsive as the PS4S.
I've been looking for a tire for the near future, so I'm curious to hear more experiences.
I would read "diverting" to be splitting off flow, not necessarily wholly redirecting flow. To this end, since the blower is the fixed constraint, and your feedback that front vent flow is reduced at a given fan speed, yes the floor vents would be reduced. If the blocked plate didn't allow...
Usually ECU will pull timing if it senses knock, this is a bigger issue for turbocharged engines. There's a variety of reasons why this is important, some being used error, gas truck filling the reservoir with the wrong gas, old gas, crappy gas, etc. sometimes you find yourself stuck in the...
Do as the manual states, but usually for fwd it is either. I've always just done front to back on fwd during 5k oil changes (maintenance minder), but if your route has a lot of turns in one direction or one side is out of alignment, then maybe cross would be beneficial (but I'd want to see that...
The impression I got was it's a very small operation at the mercy of forces outside their control. As sales people, they don't want to come out of the gate saying it'll take several months for parts to come and they've said these orders were "preorder", to which I never recalled them saying...
Yeah I know, that is why I have the engine sound turned to comfort in individual, but I thought that also changes when the valve flap opens. So if you have set sound down, but pull the fuse you will get valve always open.
The resonators damp the sound a lot, but I also found the artificial sound further makes it hard to hear the exhaust. I have the car set to individual with same as +R except engine sound, and valve fuse pulled to minimize the artificial sound.
The settings don't really allow you to turn it...
Maybe your state is different, but for CA you register for plates when you buy or finance the car, you get dealer plates and registration. Plates take like 2-4 weeks even if financed. I think it goes to the dealer first and they mail forward it to you, so call them. When you pay off the car...
Also just caught that you are the OP on that post and GD that is a lot of detail. Reminds me of some engineering reports :)
Not an easy solution but the recipe is there and it "fits".
Wow, well that's interesting. I would think the floor is the same, but not 100% sure.
The FK8 spare that everybody has been taking about is a 125/70R18 ET60. Functionally, the difference is the offset, but to get that offset, the wheel face sticks out a lot to get the tire inboard. This low...
If it were 4000mi, I'd think engine replacement is the only reasonable option, it's broken in long enough and some part grenaded, or it was abused. At 185 mi, something was wrong to begin. I can't imagine you could abuse a modern engine to break that early without other obvious signs (clutch...
This is the unfortunate case for most cars where demand outstrips supply, at least at the attempted price point. For reasons others have stated it stays that way.
You can also consider test driving an FK8 or asking someone to let you take a spin in theirs, to broaden your search. I don't think...
Aw man sorry that sounds terrible. I'd probably be asking all the same questions if I were in your shoes. I hope you can get a new car off the truck in exchange. Certainly the car being in limited supply and the dealer having a hard time getting them may complicate things, but hope it works out...
