FL5 has an indentation for a compact spare but it raises the trunk floor several inches if you use the FK8 kit. I'd rather not drive around full time like that with a compact so I might as well just keep a full size in the garage. I use the trunk space often as it's my daily.
I know the compact spare from the FK8 has been tested and discussed at length. But for those who went the route of a full sized spare, what wheel options are there?
I replaced two tires because of a pothole and one tire was still good so I have that handy. I was considering getting the...
Somebody said something like that earlier, putting the fuse back to keep the valve open, and that didn't make sense to me. I pulled the fuse and there's an empty slot in the cover for spare fuses, I put it there.
If you look at the center exhaust pipe, whether the car is on or off the valve...
Sounds like I'll need to add to my list of hardware and clips to have on hand soon. Are these actual metal screws and not body clips? Clips always break and they're not cheap.
On previous cars I just ended up going 3rd party. Cheaper to replace them every time than pay 5x more and breaks every...
I think @getGroyped had some amongst others. Create carbon sells JSWAN brand.
Consensus seems to be most CF sellers have variable quality. OEM is the best but most $$$. Maybe AXIS is ok because it's from Japan?
CarbonSixthElement was fairly good for me for the most part, but takes a long...
For other cars with purposely gimped parts, if the platform is shared it's easy to copy/paste the parts.
Those usually end up with no or lesser gains. For FL5 in a lot of respects there's little to gain for a lot of common mods except for personal comfort. Considering the volume of FL5s and...
+R is fine for me even on street. Comfort is the softest id want it.
Curious if people expecting DE5 or softer are coming from Lexus/Audi/BMW comparisons?
If the manual doesn't distinguish models, it is for all models in the book.
If anything, the added glue/welds on the FL5 would make it easier to lift two wheels from the pinch welds, but I wouldn't do it that way.
Drive up on 2x4s or if you don't want to risk it slipping out or placing it...
I would be for a SW update to disable active sound separately than everything else, or separate from the valve.
It's nearly the only thing keeping me out of +R more often, other than individual I don't have to set every drive.
My individual mode is set to max everything +R or sport, except engine sound bc I don't like the fake sound, and the display to sport. I also have the exhaust valve pulled.
I don't mind the stuff steering and suspension, except when my kids are in the car, then I just set to comfort. I am...
Would this also be the case for the matte black wheels? My detailer said matte doesn't release compound and so whatever you touch up will be hard to blend.
Made the mistake of allowing the dealer to replace some tires and not only did they scrape off the old balance weights with a screwdriver...
Hey all, I recall seeing a review here before of the red tow CF console from CarbonSixthElement. I had ordered around the same time plus side mirror caps, and thought I'd provide some pics and thoughts.
Original order took 8 wks, got it just before the new year. Mirror Caps look great, weave is...
The harness kit does come with one.
Otherwise I believe it is 91561-T20-A01
The new Honda dreamshop won't let you just search by PN, which makes it worse than the old store.
But I'd you can find the parts catalog it is #33 on this diagram...
Like an Advan Neova AD09 or Nankang CR-S?
They look nice and I'm sure great for ideal track conditions, but not sure if they are daily-able.
Have you found any decent sidewall in 18?
@Tickle and @walnut did either of you consider the conti EC Sport02? I think that replaced the DW (non S) and is in the same category as the PS4S. I was considering these when I go to 18s.
They do look really nice and the finish should be more durable than the stock matte black. That is probably the worst OE finish.
Wish they came in 18s and +45.
