I had exhaust on my FK8, with the front RV6 front piper and a custom straight pipe. It was barely under 95 dB at event most of the time. But I've never actually breached it. I'd imagine most aftermarket exhaust that are not straight pipe should be below that.
I kinda want to do exhaust, but I...
I have dedicated autoX tires+wheels for autoX, and winter tires+wheels for winter. The stock tires were used just basically commuting. And event then I got another set of wheels this year to use on the street so now they are just sitting in a room.
I am still on stock pads, they look like they...
A bit more than a year at the moment and about 22000miles. Only car, Michigan car, autoX car, commuter...this car will live a boring life most of the time....
Coming from working at GM, after the C7 Z06 debacle, most of the GM Performance products(1LEs, Corvette Z51+, Blackwings) are all basically track rated out of the box on stock parts. You might see elevated brake wear but they are going to survive a track day on stock tires. I sit in my cube and...
I don't know why you have issue with VSC defeat in +R, but as far as left foot braking goes these cars can't actually have overlap brake/throttle input stock, it pulls power when you are braking and on power at the same time even in VSC off. In FK8 at least pedal dance actually removes that...
+R and Long hold VSC button definitely works, pedal dance does too but also takes the whatever brake torque vectoring and some brake assisted front LSD action out.
Its still baffling to me that Honda sells a performance oriented "track capable" car with inadequate cooling...
The one adjustment you get in the rear affects both rear camber and toe, so you can really only optimize it for one or the other...
The front pin pulled brings the camber to like -1.8* once you push the top mount all the way in. I just double checked the front total toe before and set the front...
Nice job for Jim and Jesse. We ran the thick Karcept rear bar at 3 and I still had the big moment on run 1 for me....I think next year I will actually play with rear alignment more....
Actually curious question, what did the car weighed in in the end in race trim? Mine never seen a set of...
There is a noticeably change in balance between when I ran the car completely stock, to when I threw on tires and rear bar. Between going from thinner wall Karcepts to thicker wall one? Not as drastic.
This last weekend at Toledo after about a month away from everything(I was in New Zealand)...
To get brake pressure and steering position you will need something that can read CAN data, since those aren't outputted to OBDII normally. If you can read CAN data it doesn't really matter what module you read it from. If you have a way reading it from OBDII port you can just do that..
It clips into the gap between dash trims. Some of their mounts have some double sided tape to help hold it, but I don't think the one for this car has.
A052 is known to be quite good in damp/wet-ish condition, Bridgestone as well. They won't be as good as 300TW in real standing water wet, but anything below that will be quite good, provided you still have tread depth...
Weird to recommend against RE71RS for being too aggressive then turn around to recommend A052.....
Both RE and A052 are gonna run wider than your average 300-ish TW Max Performance tires. A052 is not great on wear for actual autoX use but is very fast. But if you are not using it for that...
