It's definitely the pads...but a Giro would assist with thermal management. R5's are more of a hybrid pad, or an option for a rear axle compound. I'd recommend trying a different brand :). Paragon is just rebranded, generic Winmax compounds at the end of the day.
The feedback I keep seeing on...
I’ll bring the ball joints up over beers again ? - see if I can sell it a little more haha. So many people are just dealing with tire obliteration to stay in Sport.
GESI is just a higher caliber cat. It’s going to flow well, while still burning clean, and shouldn’t be more durable to abuse.
RV6 is moving to GESI from what they told me, as the rest of their line has too.
I’m glad to see RV6 expanding into some different arenas, but it has some big shoes to fill as a newcomer.
PWR is pretty world class. RV6 is hyper niche with limited offerings. I hope it’s great, but I can’t say it’d be holding off on a PWR purchase for a relatively unproven new product...
I thought about getting White just for fun...but, I already got those hyper-discounted CRS v2, because why not...and I had to pick up fresh pads and rotors for the season.
So I chatted with them at SEMA about this caveat, and it seemed like they haven't experienced it, but received feedback from some it does, but also received conflicting feedback that it doesn't. ?‍♂️.
A local FK8 runs the Track Spec on the street up here, and has no issue. Perhaps it can be...
Super helpful insight, dude! Thank you! Sounds like it's going to be the right move for me.
If the TTB tries to bump you to Tuner for removing the rain guard you should start a riot ?
Sorry to clarify, the max 216F was when stock tune or 330whp?
Either way -- that's pretty excellent in 85F without the heat on. We rarely see above 85 here, and I hate running with the heat on :)
It's a pretty awesome experience -- some friends organized one back in May 2020 -- was our first time on track post immediate COVID lock down -- super fun. Like 30ish of us, and open track all day.
Downside is, it's going to have to be a (Mon-Thurs), which makes it harder to get the numbers.
There's been some documented success with the PWR Track, but I too haven't seen much else, and have been bouncing back and forth myself.
Ultimately, I think I'm going to end up in the PWR camp, as its generally the higher quality brand, the thought of future proofing is nice, and with an Oil...
Keep claiming "data, data, data" but using LogR for lap times and claiming pro-driver pace.
FK8 and FL5 is also not same car. You also rarely see pro's drive stock cars, so the evidence you are looking for, doesn't really exist.
As long as you are having fun.
