  1. Type R Spring Track Day - May 24-25, 2025 VIR

Track Out - Rest & Rev Up: Where Comfort Meets the Fast Lane! I've had some friends stay here recently and had a blast! It's right down the road from the main entrance

I'd really consider the CSG CP's then. You can run them year round and will easily get 4 track days out of them. Then you don't need to worry about swapping back and forth all the time.
  3. CIVICXI *NOVICE* Track Thread!

How many track days per year are you shooting for?
  4. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

I have it, and I really like it. I can't say I noticed anything dramatically different with it on track, certainly not worse, and I LOVE the look.

I'm just not a fan of cutting into the bumper like the kit requires, but I definitely dig the trans cooler component. Swap one oil cooler with the trans cooler and keep the center stack clear would be a nice option.

FWIW -- the 1:37 was in an untested car that was finished the day of.

Good Grief! What were your vMax typically pre Kuro/motor build? I know I could comb through video, but I’m admittedly too lazy for that at the moment ?

Nice PB!!! Good lord is that car fast...did I see 146 before the 4 board?! Selling me on this Kuro homie
  9. 2024 Season: Brake Hardware Recap

I'm sure they may help on certain pads that are not focused on thermal efficiency and bleed a ton of heat into the calipers. But if the data shows it's not needed for all, that's money better spent elsewhere, than adding another factor into the equation.
  10. CIVICXI *NOVICE* Track Thread!

The TC and VSA are both hyper invasive if you have a lot of pace and like rotation. It's a bit on an art to drive around where it wants to intervene.

See my post for a better option than Carbotech on Stock Rotors :)
  12. 2024 Season: Brake Hardware Recap

They will be fine for a bit. My A90 boots were way worse after 3+ years. I'll likely rebuild a fresh set with Girodisc's kit at some point.
  13. 2024 Season: Brake Hardware Recap

Thanks! The pads and rotors are both very thermal efficient and don't pass nearly as much heat into the caliper, so it wasn't something really needed. Castrol SRF -- bled a new bottle through about halfway through the season No changes to venting or dust shield, other than trimming the...
  14. 2024 Season: Brake Hardware Recap

I've had a pretty fun and successful season with the FL5 in the Pacific Northwest (to include a P1 in Global Time Attack's Enthusiast Class and new FWD Class Record), and a great deal of that came from consistent, confident, and long-lasting brakes. I see TONS of questions, feedback, and...

I mean yea, A052 or 71RS would be a better solution than V730. I’ve personally run A052 in the 30’s at VIR with the gators still frosted - and lived to tell about it ?. Technically PS4S provide the same warning as most 200TW regarding temps for sub-40, but it’s a caveat for the least common...
  16. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

Send it on the 200TW. Just be methodical about your warm up lap(s). It’ll eventually get too warm and you’ll destroy your All Seasons. Also let’s be real, doing a track day on All Seasons sounds not even worth it I used to run TrackCross events at Summit Point in the winter (they still host...
  17. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

That's wild on the middle setting. I'm apparently at 3.55* on the most aggressive setting, but with the struts pulled out, rather than pushed in. Honestly, it could still use more, but not trying to have it follow every crack in the street. I really need to get it back on a rack and see what max...
  18. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

There's no way a recovery vehicle is ever going to use that. Admittedly, I don't even see how this works? You pop your hood, and leave it latched?

Do you typically buy expensive car parts while sober? Those are always a shotgun purchase after a few beers ?
