? haha that's fair. I have only been doing a couple of events per year with the Civic so I'm halfway done. I did however just fill out some paper work so I can race the Miata next month. So it won't be as fast as the Type R but at least I'll get to bang some doors.
Game plan is to finish out the year on the RT660 and then in the spring get some sticky stuff to help close the gap. Losing to a Hyundai hurts my soul.
Got a great view of the floor board!
Thanks! I got the tires when I planned on just doing HPDE and no TT. They've been great for that but I think they're about done. They have 5 or 6 two day events on them now and a few autocrosses. Oddly enough they seem fine in the faster sections but any...
I have the Not Lowered Car Friendly rack pictured above. With a few boards it works great on anything except stanced cars. Your profile pic looks like it's pretty low but could be the angle. I'm with Moomoo in that they sound like they just don't want to do it. I wouldn't force it if that's the...

Nice Lap! How do the Nankang tires look on the 9.5" wheel? Somebody at the track mentioned those tires run wide for their size so he might be putting 255 on instead.
VIR trip complete! Awesome weekend meeting a bunch of people from the forum. Perfect weather. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. My best lap time of the weekend was 2:10.7. The Civic hit 9000 miles on the way home and I still enjoy it as much as the day I got it. Here are my pics from the...
@Djseto my front brakes are at 8.5-9mm now. I think they were 9.5ish when I measured them on Saturday. Also, thanks to you now I'm looking at intakes...
FWIW I went with the CSG pads because of @J1Avs review of them. I loved them. I'll get you a measurement today since I forgot to get one before leaving the track.
What a weekend! Great weather, great people, and a great track. Glad to have made it down for this. It was a pleasure to meet everyone in person and put a face to the screen name. Already looking forward to the next one! Here was my second best lap of the weekend bc my camera mount fell of...
Chillin' in the paddock beats working. Not sure when I'm gonna get out of there but probably won't make it down to VIR until late.
@PointByPatrol are you (or anybody) still planning on bringing a jack? I can fit one if I have to but would rather borrow one if it's available.
I have been happy with the Falken RT660 as far as wear is concerned but I don't think they're the fastest of the 200TW tires so I likely won't buy them again. I have them on 18" wheels so unsure if they're available for stock wheels. Mine did develop the line across the tread but I've ran a few...
IDK how many of you are Nascar/Indy fans but I realized yesterday that the Sunday of this event is the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600. I'm a Kyle Larson fan boy and he's going for the double again. I have a shitty projector that we could set up in somebody's garage to stream the races on Sunday...
