IF the rendering is indeed "accurate," we should be getting an actual bespoke Acura model, not a rebadged Civic Hatch.
I see frameless windows too, which may or may not be on the production model.
I thought the mysterious vehicle was a mule (which might still be true) but never doubted it will...
Looks like they used a lot more bespoke parts than their other Chinese-only models.
I like the rear bumper but not too sure about the rest of the car.
Any interior pics?
While I 100% agree that "nothing is confirmed," I have two things to talk about.
First, the mysterious vehicle iS in fact a Hatchback, UNLESS Honda/Acura is trying to make people believe it's a hatchback.
You'll see what I mean when you compare the spyshots of all the vehicles you mentioned...
I think it's way too early to speculate. I'm pretty sure we'll get some more pics soon.
Anyway, here's my speculation.
IF that's actually the production version Interga:
IDENTICAL chassis, Same doors, Same windows, same basic dimensions, same interior space, same engine bay.
Different C pillar...
I know we can't see much in this pic but that looks way too much like the Civic Hatch. (with Acura front and back)
IF that really is the production body then it's gonna be like EL/CSX, not ILX or 1st gen TLX.
I don't mind that, but I'm pretty sure most people will.
No other brand does that...
I think the new Integra is the “new compact sedan.”
Not sure if it will come in a 2/3door configuration but I just don’t see a coupe-only model coming out of nowhere.
Also, Acura never said this “new compact sedan” would be the ILX replacement.
(To be fair they didn’t really say anything at...
I doubt it. If anything, the Si probably will be the better performing option compared to the new Integra.
This is a very exciting news indeed, but the Integra won't be any sportier than things like A3 and A220.
They have Type S for that.
Accord 2.0T still performs better than base TLX in some...
Not sure about the rest of the car, but RS and Si might actually share the spoiler design.
10th gen RS sedan and Si sedan also had very similar looking (if not the same) spoilers.
RS is equivalent to Touring in some markets. It has nothing to do with performance.
10th gen had the RS badge on the same weird plastic part of the grill.
So Si and Type R badging will be on the actual grill just like how they did it with the 10th gen.
Hyundai's 7DCT is absolute trash. It has some performance and reliability issues.
Their 8DCT and VW's DSG are probably the only decent AT choices in the compact segment.
Or....going full electric with no transmission would be a good option too.
I agree that lack of LSD is very noticeable on...
I personally don't like the Stinger's rear design, especially with that ugly Kia badge.
I think the newer one with the big ass light bar actually looks good tho.
We only have a single leaked image of the Hatchback, but for now, I agree it's not the best looking rear end in the world.
But I...
I'm tired of this manual elitism.
I learned how to drive in a 5MT truck. I've owned multiple 6MT vehicles, including the type R.
But after my leg injury last year, I can't operate clutch pedal safely anymore.
So I had no choice but to get something with AT.
I miss driving manual, but all I can...
I'm pretty sure that the ILX replacement will offer "sporty" engine option with 10AT or DCT.
That's what I'm waiting for.
We still haven't seen a single test mule of it tho.
