There's nothing wrong with CTR being FWD.
Honda wants to be at the very top of FWD hot hatchbacks and that's why they'll keep making it FWD only.
I don't think majority of people wanted it to be AWD. I'd say Honda listened to their fans if anything.
None of its "true" competitors come with AWD...
I don't think the N and the Si will be priced similarly.
But performance wise, obviously the N will be better than the Si and the Type R will be better than the N. That's how money works.
210hp
10th gen RS was more like sport with Si spoiler. Same thing with the 11th gen. Sport with unique spoiler, but this time with unique exhaust tip too.
I expect the Si to have the spoiler and the exhaust tip from the RS, but with the Hatchback's front fascia.
They had base 250hp at $28k and Performance pack at $30k.
Considering the package included 25 extra hp, LSD, wheels and tires, better brakes and adjustable exhaust system, it was a bargain.
But with the introduction of the slightly updated 2021 model, they deleted the base trim and raised the...
Hyundai did advertise it like crazy but actually Honda is one of the few without the feature. Even GLI has it lol
Butttt keep in mind that the N line (which is closer to the Si in terms of pricing) doesn’t have individual settings for drive mode.
12:10 Golf R
12:15 Elantra N and CTR
At least it won't be as quiet as the 10th gen.
TBH, I don't think Veloster N's exhaust note itself sounds good. It's just loud and that's all.
Pops and crackles are fun but when they're turned off, it's a fart can.
I'd take it over the 10th gen CTR's stock...
What do you mean? VW and Mazda are the only ones to offer full LED tail lights in this segment.
Hyundai Kinda does too but only on N and N line.
That's not even half of the segment.
Still, full LED tail lights would have been nice.
Imo, from EK9 to FN/FD2, Type Rs have always looked "clean."
No crazy vents, no fender flares, and no multiple exhaust tips.
It's FK2 that changed everything.
Yeah, Audi/VW is the closest thing to Acura/Honda, at least here in North America. I can't argue with that.
What's more interesting is that A3 has less hp than GTI and S3 has less hp than Golf R.
Last gen A3 Quattro/GTI and S3/Golf R had identical numbers.
Anyway, we need more information to...
1. I agree with you on this one.
2. The 2.0T is NOT the replacement for the 2.4 that the first gen TLX had.
Honda replaced 3.6 V6 in the Accord with the 2.0T. Acura did the same thing and just removed the base trim.
They didn't increase the pricing by 4K. The difference was less than 1K.
1.5T...
Base A3 and 2GC starts at around 33K-35K. Acura's competitor would have to be a little cheaper than that.
Yes, 30K civic exists but that's the top trim. And these price overlaps happen more often than you'd think.
I do agree that the 1.5T will provide enough power tho
Here are my predictions:
Base model
L15 1.5T with 190 to 206hp
DCT would be nice, and CDX does have 1.5T + DCT powertrain. Honda loves using CVTs tho...
Possible AWD option
Possible 6mt option, but only with FWD
$28K to $37K USD + options
Type S - If they want to fill the gap between the...
