Let’s stir the pot
To stir it up some more Honda needs to retire the Si with a Bang!. Slap the retired Accord 6MT 252hp and take my money! FE2? ?

Are chassis code and engine are 1 to 1? Or is it possible to have a different engine type with the same chassis code. For example if they has a 1.6 NA that could fit in the FE1 housing?

Yup, they might just change the turbo, inlet pipe, and Maf size again or whatever. Wish it had stronger internals and clutch than normal civics but we’ll see. Probably cheaper for them to do it this way.

Honda just updated the sedan owner's manual on their website with new Si details, including a preview of what it looks like, features and more. It now will come with an Individual Mode to customize engine (throttle response?) and steering individually which is interesting. https://owners.honda.com/vehicle-information/information/2022/Civic Sedan/manuals

Good catch on updates to manual! And on p.750:
Unleaded premium gasoline, Pump octane number of 91 or higher*2 (*2 Manual transmission models)
But no power figures in the specifications.

From what I can deduct from the manual, all Si's will come with the Bose sound system. However there will be two different Si models:
1. 9" touchscreen NO NAVI w/ the 7" half-digital cluster
2. 9" touchscreen WITH NAVI w/ the 10.2" fully digital cluster

I'm thinking the US won't get navigation and Canada will (historically speaking that's how it's been with the Si models), or navigation could be optioned. Again I'm just assuming here from the owners manual here and could be interpreting it wrong.

When you're slick shifting with autorev match who needs a freaking compass or navi plus we get Wireless apple/Android auto too Mine goes into prod 11/15-11/19 I'm trading in my 2020 Si. Thanks to Honda engineers. Who knows the manual says we can US spec it with spare tire. So maybe we will get the si touring after all.

Nice! Hopefully suspension tuning will be separate for the Type R as well ? (finally catching up to the Hyundai N vehicles)

Didn’t Hyundai switch back to one trim level for N models? They use to do a base and then a performance pack on the Veloster N but now it’s just one trim.

I, along with a number of other Type R owners, have been asking Honda to allow the +R settings (throttle, steering, suspension, etc.) to be adjusted separately.

Maybe this will lead to the new Type R having that feature.

Hyundai did advertise it like crazy but actually Honda is one of the few without the feature. Even GLI has it lol
Butttt keep in mind that the N line (which is closer to the Si in terms of pricing) doesn’t have individual settings for drive mode.

They had base 250hp at $28k and Performance pack at $30k.
Considering the package included 25 extra hp, LSD, wheels and tires, better brakes and adjustable exhaust system, it was a bargain.
But with the introduction of the slightly updated 2021 model, they deleted the base trim and raised the pricing of the PP model by $2500.
All the media are still calling it a performance bargain, but TBH I don’t think it is anymore.
I guess part of it has to do with the weird single trim strategy (which Honda seem to love as well)

As I mentioned in another thread, apparently there is only one trim for the Si (no options either) according to the dealership I ordered mine from. I asked them so I could make sure to get the top trim or maxed out options and they said it only comes one way, just with color options. Hoping that is true and we all get the touring Si!
