  1. 2023 Civic Type R Full Reveal Coming July 20!

That's a FCEV test vehicle with fancy exterior, not a production car. It's not even a prototype. I don't see how that's relevant here. Yes, it looks incredible but that's not the point of the vehicle. Everyone's making moves now. I don't remember anyone saying "they're making moves" when Subaru...
  2. ....

Current gen Civic will be refreshed in about three years. This "leak" probably only applies to pre-refresh CTR. I just don't think they'll end the 11th gen CTR production like that after only three years. It's way too early to set production plans for the refreshed CTR anyway. So 546 for three...
  3. ....

    600. 3,276 for the U.S. then.
  4. 2023 Civic Type R Full Reveal Coming July 20!

I've owned a CTR and a Veloster N. I loved both cars and I miss them both. N cars are not even close to what some of you might have experienced with older Hyundais. But no, Hyundai is not the "New Honda" and Albert Biermann is not Tony Stark level genius. They make good cars. Nothing more...
  5. Auto option on 2023 Si? (i know i know)

Honda probably thought the CVT would work better for mass production passenger cars. Auto Si will naturally come with the same CVT that's in the Integra. There's no need to develop new DCT for one car. But I agree. I just don't see it happening anytime soon. I mean, they'd need to go auto when...
  6. Auto option on 2023 Si? (i know i know)

Auto Type R is just a rumor for now. Maybe it's true, who knows? But there's no official confirmation yet. I don't think the Si will be getting AT option tho. It's all about driving experience so imo it will be the last Honda to come with 6MT. Integra's CVT should work with the Si without too...
  7. Limited production for New Type R? "Hundreds not thousands" according to UK article

I thought the FK8 was supposed to be "limited production" too tho lol That's what dealerships said when it first came out.
  8. Type R Record at the Ring?

"Different" approach. They've been doing limited edition 2 seater thing since FN2 era. Everyone knew they'd do it again for the 3rd gen. I think Honda and Seat really deserve more respect for running their cars "stock." But there are MANY automakers in Europe and they sometimes do things very...
  9. She has to go unfortunately...

N seats are much more comfortable imo. But Hyundais can be super annoying with the rattles too, so just keep that in mind.
  10. Type R Record at the Ring?

I don't see anything wrong with how Megane RS set the record. If anything, that car was "stock" and those who are rich/weird enough could get the exact spec. You couldn't do that with the record setting type-R, although that's undoubtedly much closer to regular spec model. You see, Renault...
  11. All New 2023 Civic Type R Sets New Suzuka Circuit Lap Record! 🏁

Actually there's whole class of 300hp FWD hot hatches in other markets. VW has GTI Clubsport, Cupra has Leon, Renault of course has Megane R.S. Trophy. Unfortunately CTR is the only one we get here in North America, but it's not the only FWD track monster. These cars obviously can't do donuts...
  12. 2023 Civic Type R now testing at Suzuka Circuit, Benchmarking Outgoing Type R

It is indeed a full on GR car. It's just not as extreme as the GR Yaris. GR Sport doesn't come with actual performance upgrades. But I agree that it will be positioned more like the GTI than the R.
  13. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Don't forget that the Si is practically a single trim model while GTI has multiple trims and options. Which means it's not fair to compare Si's price with GTI/WRX's base trims and say that the Si is only $whatever cheaper. For some reason, Honda and Hyundai are really the only ones that love...
  14. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

What bothers me the most about the pricing are the deleted features. I keep saying this but 2K bump itself isn’t that bad, considering they skipped one year. But they should have kept most of the features. 2020 Si didn’t cost that much over the previous model year even with all the added safety...
  15. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

17 Si $24K 22 Si $28K “Except you could get a 10th gen Si for almost $26K. Is this car worth almost $30K? Seems like a lot of cash.” Made some changes to your statement. Hope you don’t mind
  16. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Car prices will go up and there's nothing we can do to stop that. 2K increase for a redesign actually isn't too bad. 2022 Veloster N with DCT costs as much as CTR did in 2017. CTR's MSRP is at 38K now.
  17. ? First Video of 2023 Civic Type R Track Testing at Nurburgring!

    That's 100% automatic but I don't think that's coming from the type-R
  18. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Actually 2013 Veloster Turbo had 201 hp too. It's been 201hp since then for almost 10 years. At least they didn't increase the output only to decrease it few years later. They got rid of Veloster 2.0 and 1.6T because they could be replaced with Elantra N line and other compact cars. Now that...
  19. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

European models did get many features that we never got, but I don't think they had heated seats.
  20. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Fun Fact: Veloster N comes with butt warmers in other markets. Hyundai for some reason thinks Americans like room temperature butts.
