I remember reading about that caveat about not being able to sell outside of Honda dealers... how is that possible if it's not written into the initial lease terms from the beginning? Wouldn't that breach contract? Or does Honda keep a disclaimer in their lease contracts about sales?
I just...
Very much same here. Being a one car person I want my DD to not only be comfortable and useable, but also fun to drive and look at. While the styling of the 11th gen has grown on me, the trim/feature breakdown, slight loss of performance, etc has put me off spending $30k for the Sport Touring...
I fully agree here. It just depends on what they decide to do with the Si going forward... keep watering it down or actually make marked improvements.
My best guess on the Si hatch is fully 100% the Integra NOT the CTR... (not to sound like a broken record)... by time you factor in the price...
Given that MOST current EV's use single speed transmissions... unless someone invents a reason for multiple (5+) gears in an EV I would say it's probably the end (when we get to that point).
I agree to start full EV will come to higher end models first. Lower tier models like civic, integra...
I can kinda see this being the last generation of Si as well. Both between the Integra incoming and Honda's electrification goals... I think the Integra will take over as the tweener performance car... sport and sport touring models will exist as the sporty option civics, and hopefully the CTR...
I can definitely see this being the case. Same hp, maybe a torque increase of 5-10. They'll put more focus on the refinement and improved handling. It'll feel quick, but may actually end up slightly slower due to the weight gain.
The integra will get the horsepower bump the Si could've gotten...
Yea I created that. For fun. I'm a graphic designer. I made it for the integra forum just to help stimulate conversation. Literally zero percent based in fact other than my own guesses/hopes based off of TLX features, and current Honda/Acura powertrains. I purposely left off AWD or mentions of...
My 19 EX coupe has a ceiling rattle too... doesn't seem to be the moonroof, as poking around at that doesn't seem to fix it, it's more back in the dome light area. I also have a pretty bad rattle in the dash where the LKAS and Traction control buttons are, but it seems to only rattle at low...
Yep, when they jumped to the 8th generation the civic grew a lot. Now, from that gen, depending on body style, in some regards the civic grew or shrunk (in length).
8th to 9th gen sedan grew slightly but the coupe stayed the same length I believe
9th to 10th gen sedan grew more but he coupe...
About a full second slower than the 10th gen Sport Touring which usually clocked in around 7-7.1 seconds, just like the sedan being about a second slower. It's a shame, especially considering that $30k will get you a mazda3 hatch with 250hp and AWD. Its just not enough oomph for this price point...
It's got quite a bit working against it at this point...
- Slowing small sedan sales (and no hatch variant)
- Manual Only take rates
- Possibly no meaningful power upgrade over last gen
- So-so styling depending on who you ask
- botched/ignored reveal
It's almost like Honda is looking for a...
"Best handling, most fun to drive" but not "fastest or most powerful Si ever" just reinforces the idea that this Si isn't even getting a power bump compared to the 10th gen and may actually be slower than the 10th gen because of weight gain.
Agreed. That's why at this point despite having both the ST hatch and new integra on my short list, I'm thinking of keeping my 19' EX coupe after my lease is up and paying it off. By time it's paid off in another 3 years, hopefully the shortages and such are over with and I'll have an entire...
Some of us remember a time when people yelled "sacrilege" at the idea of a turbocharged Si or CTR taking away from the naturally aspirated lineage of those models... and guess what? The world didn't end, and the Si and CTR are arguably better for it. The same idea goes for offering an auto...
I highly doubt the CTR would get an auto option when even the lowly Si didn't get one. But everything Civic related is also kind of thrown into a weird flux because of the Integra coming back... but I would be shocked to see any kind of auto option on the CTR ever until the day Hondas are all...
The reason it could easily start below $30k is because you're comparing a fully loaded $30k civic to a probably EX or less level of equipment on the base Integra... The trade off is performance or features.... someone that prefers to have ALL the features, and the sedate-ness of the civic goes...
33.5 for the A-Spec trim, assuming it gets features like the TLX A-Spec (ELS audio, etc) then that would be a very well optioned car along with the upgraded wheels, appearance package, and sport tuned suspension. I suspect the base model will fall closer to $28k which only puts it a bit above...
If I was to make a guess... if they don't make the manual available across the board, it might be reserved to the base trim and the A-Spec on the non-TypeS trims. Those seem the most likely trims for people who want the 6-speed... either they wanted an Si Hatch or they want the sportier variant...
Nothing wrong... they're just not great cameras. Honda was the first automaker to make reverse cameras standard, but they haven't updated or changed the camera module they use since 2011 obviously..
I agree. It doesn't make a ton of sense to create a lower tune variation for the 1.5T when they can just copy/paste from the Si. Granted my estimate was probably a little hopeful... but I figure the Integra will get either the exact same output as the Si, or a bit more to help push Acura's...
