I got the base bushings in this morning, relatively straight forward as noted. The driver front is tough to get to. I ended up taking off the front cubby. With it out (just clips) I could take out the screw at the front, then the side of the center console is much more flexible. After I put it...
I got the cable bushings in this morning. Feels a bit crisper in shifting. Probably do the base bushings tomorrow morning. Biggest issue I had was the battery being out threw all the codes after reassembly. I figured driving it would reset everything. After about 10 minutes of nothing changing I...
Thanks for the confirmation. I didn't do the 10th Gen base bushings, but I saw a video on it and it looked like a PITA! I swapped out the shifter boot on my '22, so I've had that apart and it looked like pretty good access to the base. That's why I sprung for the base bushings this time.
What needs to come off for install? On the CivicX 2.0L only the battery box, but I think the Si needed the intake pipe off. Looks like on the '22 Si just the Battery Box off and the intake can be worked around.
Oh, maybe I should do them one at a time? See what they each do? Yeah, maybe I'll do that. Cable bushings first for a week, then do the base mounts. I never did the base mounts on the '19 Sport. I always thought I might swap the entire shifter for the CTR, but never did.
Mine came in today, I'll install this weekend. Did you get the shifter base bushings as well? I got both. They sent me a nice little pack of goodies in the box too! Only ever got a sticker one time. Got several different stickers, keychain, and air freshener :)
I installed the cable bushings on my ā19 Sedan Sport 6MT, and while not noticing an immediate difference I thought they improved overall shifting. The ā22 Si shifter is incredible as compared to the Sport! I just ordered the same cable bushings and also the shifter mount bushings for the ā22...
Do you guys not use the brake hold? First thing I do after starting is push the brake hold button. After that it holds the brakes every time I stop. If I undo my seatbelt while stopped it engages the parking brake. When I park and turn off the car it engages the parking brake. Been doing this...
Swapped out chrome lug nuts for black, added metal valve stem caps with āSiā logo. Not pictured; screen protector. That turned out nice. Thereās a couple bubbles but they arenāt really noticeable when itās on. What I did not do: clean my wheelsā¦LOL
Update pt2!
It's been working properly since I got it back from the dealer until Saturday. I had the car on with the engine off in the garage listening to music for a bit and decided to top off the battery with my Battery Tender. For whatever reason, that causes the AIS to show the message of...
When I was more involved with the VFR Forum (Honda Motorcycle) we would get together every spring in Franklin, NC. If you take 28 long enough, you'll find it. Great road for most of the run. I've been a great proponent for many years of, basically, every road near Deal's Gap that is not Deal's...
Oddly I wasn't looking forward to it, but I was meeting friends from GA at the Gap to go to dinner and then watch the Fiddies For Life races in the parking lot after. I went through about 3:30 and got a fairly clean run! Then turned left and had a fantastic drive down 28 to Fontana Dam. The...
I swapped out the standard incandescent bulbs for Lasfit LED (high, low, fogs) in my ā19 Sedan Sport and Iām kinda underwhelmed with the ā22 Si LEDs.
Dealer said the battery was the problem. I read a several year old post on an Odyssey forum saying the same thing. He had several batteries installed. Dunno, it's better than a CVT Corolla rental! I guess I'll just start turning it off and not worry about it...
Took it to the dealer yesterday, after quite a long time spent with it, they agree it should be working and wanted more time to find out why it isn't. No fault codes show up. I'm in a rental for the moment...
Thank you for the reply. I understand the parameters under which the system is disabled. It's my belief the when the car meets the proper circumstance to enable the system, it is not functioning and displays the message that it needs charging or warming. I have, over the first 2 weeks of...
Seemingly was working fine since I picked up the car, but on Thursday (2 weeks exactly since I got it) it stopped. The message comes up that it is temporarily disengaged due to warmup/charging despite driving for enough time to have a fully charged battery and warmed up engine. I drove it up to...
