The Spoon bumper is actually pretty different than what the stock FL5 has, in the pictures it seems like they removed the crash bar I think.
Wow this shot looks eerily similar to what @siwelnosaj has which is actually great. I wonder why they have the duct going straight to the brakes like...
Yeah I use Amsoil in my GT350 and it regularly sees temps of 250F-275F from just street driving. Synthetic oils start to break down in the 400F/450F range so you don't have to worry about that. As long as your arent seeing oil temps in the mid to high 300F range then your oil is fine
Recently became a member for Amsoil and got a newsletter.
They have some high zinc oil

I think its more complex than that. Increasing the capacity wont really stop heat soak, it just means that it'll happen at a later time and because you have more capacity the heat soak will be worse because now you have a bunch fluid thats hot without the ability to reduce the temperature...
Not a track rat but I don't think changing your turbo alone would cause you to see a noticeable difference by itself. Having an oil cooler and 2 radiators would give you a significant amount of cooling that you'd need to see the lower temps.
There's a few companies that are working an oil...
Hmm, yeah I never used a flare nut, I bought the ones with the check valve and it worked really good. I used the 2 person method because my vacuum bleeder broke.
I haven't used the typical flare nut, only the check valve wrenches. Really hard to say which one is better, since basically they are...
I just flushed mine the other day. What method are you going to be using?
If using a pressure bleeder like the motive bleeder it will be easier to tell by using the dry method to bleed your brakes.
If you suction out the all of the brake fluid from the master cylinder and pour in the new...
Are you talking about gravity bleeding?
Yeah and I agree, it was my first time doing and I freaked out. I was stressing out trying to get different parts and a work around. After getting fed up I had a friend come help me and do the 2 person method and it worked fine.
Pretty sure I use way...
Update :
Just started flushing my brakes with speedi bleed for the first time and literally my bottle cap is broken. This sucks because I just sucked out my fluid and my car is basically undriverable until I finish this.
Going to have to run to an auto store and buy whatever vacuum bleeder I...
Wow thats really nice. The pictures help but without much context it'll be pretty hard for me to decipher what's going on. I definitely would need a guide or a set of instructions lol.
That's a really clean setup though and seems like it requires no drilling
Does the oil temp gauge take in account the oil weight as well? Like if you have a thinner oil like 0W-20 vs a thicker one like 5W-30 does LogR account for that?
How much brake fluid should I buy when doing a brake flush? I plan on getting the Castrol SRF brake fluid, but really have no idea how much I'd need since this is my first time doing this
