I have the Accord mirror + harness and it works without issue(honestly installed it more for the garage opener and to mount my radar detector).
I'm curious to see what the PN will be, the one gripe I have with it is that the Accord mirror doesn't sit as tight
New color is nice, aero/cooling improvements are always good and I'm a big fan of the new shift knob and trim colors. They finally added an auto dimming rear view mirror so that's also neat.
I never used the heated seats in my STI, it just doesn't seem necessary for suede seats. They bulleted...
Yeah I was scared to even ask since it almost always just opens up a huge can of worms. I'm swapping in EBC Redstuff so fingers crossed there's less dust anyway.
Thanks, I've seen this grease recommended quite a bit. Did you use this on the back of the pads, and ears?
I've previously used a miniscule amount of anti seize on the hub only without issue on other cars. The salt brine they use on the roads in the winter pretty much guarantees the rotors...
Curious which grease you use and if you're using it for the guide pins and pad ears as well? Dong my pads in the next week or so, but planned on removing the rotors so I can clean behind and put something there so they don't seize.
We’re not all in sunny California ;)
For me the “issue” is on cloudy rainy days. It’s noticeably darker and that mixed with the rain causes some decreased visibility.
~3 week update: I love them honestly, they're the perfect middle ground between the Suma ones and OEM. I'm still not crazy about the tint so if TSP comes out with a gray/untinted version I'll probably grab those.
I prefer seeing some of my car in the mirror, it gives me a point of reference(I...
I'm guessing the gauge cluster doesn't have an anti glare coating on it, though I could be wrong. This is currently the plan though, I'm likely going to order a new lens, get it PPF'd and then I'll swap it out.
I installed this early on, so I don't remember how it looks without it but I haven't had any issues. I initially went with a matte one from Spigen and didn't like the matte finish.
Still looking for a solution for my gauge cluster since it scratches extremely easy
That’s fair, I have a tight garage so I’ve had to get creative with getting in and out
Technically I think you could swap the passenger side handle, but that’s quite a reach any time you need your glasses
Nothing too exciting, but some QOL interior improvements. Billetworkz Fusion knob, Create Carbon center console cover, overland designs shift boot and black radio knob(thanks @CTR ) Also replaced the drivers side grab handle with a sunglasses holder.
Was previously using the insulated acuity...
Yes, significantly so, I installed the AEM filter with my HVI so I'm not sure what the PRL filter sounds like but the AEM filter + HVI combo is much louder than stock.
Thank you, that's good to know as I was considering the Dixcel but I'll probably just go Akebono.
That makes sense, if I can find some cheap I'll likely do the same.
Thanks again
Those rims are super nice, curious why you switched to Akebono pads from the Dixcel's?
Also saw on a different forum that you swapped in the ELS speakers, what modification did you need to do on the tweeters and would you say it was worth the upgrade?
I wouldn’t think so, I was actually in the engine bay and pulled on the filter and it didn’t budge in the slightest lol. Someone in the original thread used some silicone tape in between the filter and housing but I think that’s overkill imo. Based on the position of the filter and housing, I...
I don't think I've ever had a dealership change the oil on any of my cars. When I was about 150 pounds heavier and didn't move as well, I brought my own oil and filters to a local shop I trusted. Now I do mine, my wife's and my parents in the driveway or garage using ramps. It's not so much that...
I don't think anyone's reported issues with the PRL oiled filter, but I personally run the AEM dry flow. Seals perfectly for me, it's slightly larger than the MAF housing but once you tighten the clamp it seals just fine. There's a thread on it too if you want some more info...
Another vote for Uniden(I have an R8 myself) but you can also check out Vortex Radar if you want some other suggestions. Having used a few RD's, it's definitely a buy once cry once situation. You can hardwire it pretty easily.
Just remember that they're radar detectors, not police detectors...
