What did you do to your FL5 today?

Swapped out my leather wrapped Mugen for this knob, this is the Razo RA-66 from Carmate Japan. At 400 grams it’s one of heaviest on the market. After a couple weeks of use, I believe if you plan to upgrade your knob always go for one that’s heavier than 250 grams. It has completely smoothed out the 1-2 shift clunkiness that occurs from time to time.

Agree, I loved my Razo RA68 Palm Grip 400g weighted knob in my FA5

I still have the original and a brand new RA68 spare in the drawer, since the original started to show wear after 160K miles...

But somehow it just did not feel right in the FL5. Seemed to twist in a weird angle in 5th/6th in the FL5

put in my MAP braided steel line and my used slave cyl i got off ebay and removed the delay valve.. why didnt i do this sooner? night and day difference.

clutch engagement feels like what I would say is expected from a manual transmission.. no delay.. literally. no more guessing when the clutch will engage either.. i now know (made up number but kinda close) 1/3 of the way up is when my clutch will grab and its not 2/3 of the range of the pedal of when it might grab.
no more 1-2 weirdness for me.. before it would seem like i was fighting to get it to go into gears randomly.. this was making me feel like 4 years of driving an automatic made me somehow not be able to drive a stick anymore but only on this car.

Interesting! Thanks for the review. I generally don’t have a problem with how the clutch feels, but I would like a lower engagement point. I may have to do this next spring when I change my brake fluid.

Hit up the Snake feeling out the new Spoon Springs with the new wheel set up, overall positive experience no rubbing, predictable handling. To summarize the car feels like it’s on lowering springs and I’ll likely move along to Coilovers in the not so distant future.

Nothing too exciting, but some QOL interior improvements. Billetworkz Fusion knob, Create Carbon center console cover, overland designs shift boot and black radio knob(thanks @CTR ) Also replaced the drivers side grab handle with a sunglasses holder.

Was previously using the insulated acuity esco knob which is good, but wasn’t crazy about the white lettering on top. Working on doing custom paint fill for it but I’m not sure it’ll come out as good as I hoped.

My Remus exhaust has arrived, hoping I can get it fitted soon. I hadn't realised until I looked through it that the centre exit pipe is straight through, so fingers crossed it's not too loud (although it is valved).

I don't really like my sunglass storage solution (passenger side sun visor clips for night and sunglasses).

But I cannot give up the grab handle.

I need it to pull myself out of the seat...

That’s fair, I have a tight garage so I’ve had to get creative with getting in and out

Technically I think you could swap the passenger side handle, but that’s quite a reach any time you need your glasses

Does the XDi uprated fuel line work with the Full Race HPFP? I've seen on this forum where some say it works others say it doesn't, so I'm unsure. If it does work it would make waiting for a viable solution alot easier.

How do you like the gloss screen cover? I generally prefer gloss screens for clarity/vibrancy, but the matte finish on the unit does help with glare so I've always been curious about covers. Does it improve/ease the grain effect on the screen? Does it glare with sun?

I installed this early on, so I don't remember how it looks without it but I haven't had any issues. I initially went with a matte one from Spigen and didn't like the matte finish.

Still looking for a solution for my gauge cluster since it scratches extremely easy
