  1. VTEC.. is this for real?

Derek entering a technical discussion always makes my day
  2. VTEC.. is this for real?

It could easily just have different rods or intake cam, as it does in the 10th gen.
  3. 2022 Civic Si 6-speed manual transmission got two big upgrades - explained

Switching to a single mass flywheel doesn't make your list? That is a huge improvement and another cue from the 10th gen R.
  4. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

I still don't love the exterior design but it seems like an affordable W in the performance compact segment. With a new Integra coming there's no way it was getting more power. The auto rev match is a nice (but unnecessary) bonus. Pumping fake engine/exhaust sounds through the speakers into the...
  5. Acura Integra will have Manual transmission

Nice, would have been an insult to the nameplate to not have one.
  6. I purchased a fully loaded 2022 Honda Civic Sedan Touring

It will never improve. Current environmental regs just don't allow high quality paint jobs at this price point anymore.
  7. Google Chrome redirect warning

I grabbed a screenshot of the warning.
  8. Google Chrome redirect warning

@administrator is there anything that can be done on your end with Google to get the site whitelisted or something? Every time I follow a link from CivicX to a post on CivicXI I get a warning that I may be going to a suspicious site using a similar name.
  9. What’s new with the 1.5T 11th Gen Honda Civic and why we’re PUMPED

Awesome write up guys. While I don't agree with some of the aesthetic decisions of the 11th gen so far its undeniable Honda is continuing to push development on the Earth Dreams 1.5T. I can see a ton of crossover (lessons learned) from the K20C1/C4 from the 10th gen Accord and Type R. Looking...
  10. Honda worker posts 2022 Civic hatchback photo

It was never even possible to get a 2.0 hatch here in Canada for the 10th gen. We had LX, Sport, Sport Touring. They all had the 1.5T and all had the full touchscreen display headunit.
  11. VTEC in the 1.5t?

VTEC isn't really needed on the inlet side. Variable lift doesn't matter so much when you can just cram boosted air into the engine. I don't know about other markets but in the USDM, only the Accord 1.5T got VTEC on the exhaust cam. All the 1.5T Civic had no VTEC in any form. The K20C1/K20C4 in...
  12. Honda Canada Civic Build Tool

Seems like it. Or the Si.
  13. @thesketchmonkey Fixed the 2022 Civic Hatchback

Still not sure it would convince me to the 11th gen but at least it's more of a hatch and not a gran coupe. Pretty neat idea.
  14. Honda Confirms 2022 Civic Si Will Be Sedan Only

I believe they said quite a while ago it would be manual only (along with the R). Si will be the only way to get a manual sedan I guess.
  15. Official: 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Revealed! Specs, Info, Pics & Video

Could see about a mid cycle update but right now it looks like sedan only. https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/honda-confirms-2022-civic-si-will-be-sedan-only.49898/#post-812500
  16. 2022 Civic HATCHBACK Rear First Revealed Look!

It is definitely more of a gran coupé / fastback design than a traditional hatch. Although people also said the 10th hatch was more of a station wagon compared to the RSX/Integra lift back.
  17. Official: 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Revealed! Specs, Info, Pics & Video

The body text says the LX and Sport have the 2.0 NA and EX/Sport Touring have 1.5T. The table says all but LX has 1.5T? A 2.0 sport / 1.5T sport touring is a cool setup. Could get either engine with a manual option. I wish they had figured out how to have a fully flat hatch/cargo area. That's...
  18. 2022 Civic HATCHBACK Rear First Revealed Look!

Looks better than the sedan in my opinion, I still prefer the aggressive 10th gen look though.
  19. 2022 Civic Hatchback and Civic Si On-Sale Dates Confirmed by Honda Marketing Roadmap

I am curious to see if you are right. We have already seen leaked test mules that point to an Si sedan, but who knows for sure if that's what it was. I also think the product stack would be very crowded with a sport touring hatch (if manual) vs Si hatch vs Type R. But time will tell.
