I actually have a Big O Tire near me that has done consistently good work at a reasonable charge.
Used them for many years, so there is a strong relationship there. They have the alignment machine, and know how to use it. I get a printout showing the before and after settings. Very professional.
Maybe buy out of state, fly there and drive your car back...make a road trip out of it...?
depending on the route, could be fun...and would help get your Type R broken in that much sooner..
...the cost of shipping will probably cover gas, hotels and meals.
The Search is Over
'I was living for a dream, driving for the moment,
Chasing all the deals, that was just my style,
Now I look into your adds, I can see right through you,
The search is over, you were gouging all the while'
-with apologies to Survivor
Getting the most for your trade will largely be about the market.
Hard to be in a buyer's and seller's market at the same time.
Hope you continue to enjoy the SI and the Sport manual, both great.
Also hope that eventually you get your Type R, if that is the car you want to drive the wheels...
Congratulations!
We have some fun roads here in AZ as well if you know where to look.
If you are ever out this way....it would be my honor to show you some of our hidden gems.
Thank you for posting that.
The Italian flag should be at half mast today.
I remember when I first saw the Lamborghini Countach - it transcended car design, felt more like something that came from the far future. Nothing else since has made as big an impression, so I understand Gandini's...
My limit is a couple of hours, not much more. Last time I drove 5 hours straight, I was dead at the end. That was in the SI. I think I could go longer in the Type R due to the amazing seats, but prefer not to push it.
Thank you for all the great pics! I knew these sets were special - never have any pain after an hour or two - but you really put it to the test and it apparently passed with flying colors.
Southern chicken, the Porsche museum, tanks, and even some new back roads!
Now that is a road trip.
Yeah, that maintenance minder is way off for 9,800 not easy miles. And here I thought they were of some use, at least semi-accurate.
I will be doing an oil and filter change in the next few weeks.
Not as worried this time of year - with temps in the 50-75 range but I err on the side of caution...
I am mildly OCD on oil changes living in the AZ desert.
I look at the maintenance minder, as well as mileage and time between oil changes.
No, I don't let it get to 0, or even 10, but at 20-30 % oil life left per the monitor, should be fine.
i have had 0 engine or transmission failures in the...
There are always those drivers who think it is a good idea to tailgate. Or think your fast looking car should be driving more than 5 over the posted limit. Comes with the territory.
I have received a lot of positive reactions whenever I park it and someone notices the car.
That comes with the...
I went from an SI to an FK8, and yes, it was worth every penny. And it was a lot of pennies...
Gorgeous car pics, you got a great color. You are driving the dream. Enjoy!
I own an FK8, and am not offended. Owners of the 11th gen Panamera Type R -I mean Civic Type R- are welcome to state their styling preference. Okay, cheap ripostes aside, I have noticed sometimes that Sport or even +R is preferable in daily driving. Why?
You hit a bump and there is a fast...
