I have a full set of cloth+leather hatchback seats for FL5 I will give to anyone for free. I don't have the needed lap buckle - I forgot to remove it from my CTR when I traded it in this past summer. I'm in Erie, PA - pick up only.
Full disclosure: the seats smell.
When I finally picked up...
Apprx 3000 miles on the wheels, 5000 miles on the tires. $1300 OBO, local pickup in Erie PA area - may be up for meeting in between.
Sparco Podio 18X8.0 ET45, gloss black with fake Type R center caps. Like new except few small chips on one wheel which has been touched up.
Michelin Pilot Alpin...
That's the one! It has that autobahn blaster kind of feel to it. I'm still discovering tech features that I'm surprised it had for its original price point.
Well, update here. I traded my CTR for a Buick today :dunno:
The CTR had the same issue this year that the GRC had last year. Sitting in the garage next to the GR86 it's just not fun enough to justify it. Obviously it's way faster and a ton of fun when you're ripping it. But for how I use it...
Wow man, sucks to hear. You
Must not have discussed it on the forums because Iād probably have remembered the massive victim blame circlejerk.. ābet you didnāt check your oil!ā
I've owned cars with problematic manuals and know what it feels like for one to be sensitive to "perfect inputs or else grind." My FL5 definitely does not require perfect shift behavior. I've done plenty of sloppy driving (huge G force and slippery shift knob FTL!) and I've never had a grind...
Yeah at best they would do the clutch pedal adjustment, so go for it and see.
Quick questions for folks that get grinds often - is it usually when the trans is cold? Or will it do it after you've been driving a while and doesn't matter about gear oil temp?
I've never gotten a grind but 1-2 and...
Hey whatās the consensus on oil overfill with these K20C1s?
My first change ended up filled a little over, close to the top of the orange part. Didnāt think anything of it coming from Subarus where itās known to be healthy to overfill a smidge. Checking today it seems even higher - prob fuel...
Knowing well how engines work, I would never run less than 91 in this engine or honestly any turbo or high compression engine.
93 is available to me and I would never use below that. There are some places around me that have 92 as the maximum - I would not put that in my tank and feel sorry...
It's hard to describe exactly why but purpose built sports cars, no matter how basic I think will always have a little X-factor advantage over something like the Type R, since Type R for example is based on a car meant to be practical, efficient and comfortable above all else.
I've discussed in...
Haha, right. But I don't doubt them. Last I worked numbers with them was in November before I got mine elsewhere, and they wouldn't budge from $5k then.
I talked to my guy there and he confirmed MSRP but mentioned it being for "the end of the month," which is now. Something to keep in mind. And...
Wow, you gotta be kidding. I was told multiple times by this dealer between 2021 and this past spring that they have never sold a Type R for less than $5k over. I know for a fact that they sold their FK8 LE and their first 2 FL5s for $25k over.
The rates must really be making things harder for...
Having the pressures jacked up while the car sat probably helped prevent flat-spots at least š
I initially asked my dealer not to wash the car but said eh, just do it. And it was fine. They did however miss installing my body plugs, which seems to be more common than leaving the spring pucks...
The cluster plastic has caused me much distress. I usually get by for years at a time without touching them (except light swiffer dusting) by being careful when/how I sneeze š
I knew the CTR was going to be trouble since as-delivered it had what looked like a fine spritz of something oily on...
I was gonna say, was your daughter good as long as she had cell reception and could be online? More than a couple hours on the road with my kids and they're trying to steal our phones to call in an Amber alert.
Thanks for that, yeah I'll most likely do it. A big part of my hesitation is that the last 3 vehicles I put big miles on, the headlights held up to such an impressive degree. Like things have definitely changed in last 10-15 years for headlight plastics. Our 2015 Sienna with 90k miles, they're...
