My car will be a 2-seater until I am happy with the smell of my new-to-me seats. Frigging air freshener smell really hit its stride once the car was out in the sun.
Will my insurance company give me trouble if I get in an accident and my roadside emergency kit flies and hits me in the face...
Per the OP, you do have to put the fuse back in as part of step 2. Leave it for a few seconds and you'll hear the valve open. Then you pull the fuse for good.
Oh man nice! Obtaining a fun beater (this is probably more of a classic) on the cheap has been my dream for years now haha. Can never find something quite worth pulling the trigger on.
Right, I was gonna say. You need that chonky #3 philips head. I messed up a few of them on my first oil change before I went and got the correct tool, can't believe they use those under there.
I plan to use the impact driver for the next time + anti-seize when I put them back. Thanks for the PN!
The funny thing is, two large adults can sit in the back (with both feet on the floor) comfortably. Getting into and out of that position is gymnastics, but once there it's OK.
For little kids it's bad news. Even though they're small it's still hard to climb in and out. Then, if their feet...
Oh? Where does that go, in the center console? I won't do that, cloth seats are basically like free heat anyway.
I had to laugh last night watching Toyota's GR Corolla vs. CTR compare video. Lots of funny stuff in there. But they really grabbed onto the 4 seater thing.
Honda should have made...
I did the conversion tonight. An easy job, still not done because the rear passenger side buckle receptacles I bought off eBay must be for sedan and the center buckle doesn't latch in. Thankfully figured it out before installing the buckles. Will order new from dealer tomorrow.
This whole...
I don't notice many negative spam comments, at least not without going looking. It's surprising how people seem to perceive things like this so negatively as their knee-jerk. And that's their problem. I pity them.
Even other legit gearhead types - it never ceases to amaze me how little people...
Ah you come from sport bikes. Less surprising that the power doesn't wow you haha. I think it also may have to do with where you're gittin' it. The CTRs stock power probably doesn't hit as hard on a more wide open canyon road vs. in the confines of a densely forested, narrow back road like where...
Dude, for real though! Thank god you’re ok!
My wife handed me her phone tonight, says “saw this on Facebook” and when I saw who posted it my jaw was on the floor. Again, glad you’re in one piece and hope to see you back in action soon!
It was bRed or nothing and I'm really not a big red car guy. It's just the color of this car to me. (Dumbest color name ever btw.) I totally get what you mean about the orange - I think it's a big part of why it's such a good red, and not what I call "normal car" red like so many others. It...
Thanks, though the picture is a bit of a lie. It is generated from Gran Turismo 7 photo mode 😅 but I assure you something along those very lines will occur in late October this year
Also I replied before I saw about the 53psi. How on earth. That's borderline dangerous!
Just reading to here, I can say the engine definitely opens up quite a bit in the top end. It is pretty linear as turbos go but still heavily turbocharged. I recall being very surprised the first few times I pulled through to redline.
I’m coming from a similar place as you, where my other car...
Goddamn I'm jealous of all you MSRP people 😆 only because it feels like I was the LAST guy to pay a markup on one of these. $3k in November and I thought I was getting a deal! 2 months later a dealer called me about MSRP 🤦♂️
Fake noise: Yes it's not awake yet under 4k. I was actually pretty OK...
I was fed up with looking for recycled parts and was going to go the new parts route. Until I realized the cushions and covers are separate. Huge $$$ for a full conversion. Not to mention most material is backordered with no ETA.
I'm all but certain the missing 5th seat has to do with tire load...
Yes the hatchback has the center seat belt inside the 60% side seat back. In the sedan the belt comes out of the rear shelf, no way to carry that over to the hatch. It's tough because a vast majority of what's out there is for sedan of course.
Go to car-part.com and search for 2022+ Civic rear seat. It searches a database of parts recyclers. Find a good listing and be sure it distinguishes between sedan and hatchback - most do - and then contact/buy. My brother flips vehicles and has bought tons of crap on there. Usually prices are as...
I would have had the mod done last weekend, and now this weekend but ridiculous shit keeps happening with the parts recycler I bough the seats from. They got cyberattacked, then once they were back online some guy mistakenly took my parts. Now I'm waiting for him to bring them back! Assuming I...
Wow thanks. I used picture to text to convert the tables to spreadsheet so I could plot them - surprisingly little difference between the modes and quite linear.
Ideally I would make a gif of the 3 images looping so you could see the differences but maybe someone else could do that.
