To be fair to them, their hands are kinda forced. Government want high efficiency average across the fleet ->popular model need high MPG -> reducing drag, power, and/or weight. And weight seems to be the way they went -> thinner panels and less insulation for noise

I live near Honda of Harvey, and since they became Honda of Harvey from Superior honda, their sales tactic became: "we will mark every vehicles up, including the hatchback sport by 2k. You want si? 5k. You want Type R: 10k" The service dept is great tho.
