i think "strip style" fog lights would look better than round ones.. i was thinking the lower portion of where you have just because you may be able to get a little more light out of it (than the top portion) and it may be easier to design

Good point...I agree that the fog lights would look even better on the lower area on each side.

The Limits of Going "As Low as Possible"Ground clearance risks:
Lights mounted extremely close to the pavement face high risks from road debris, deep puddles, snow banks, and steep driveways.

Decreased reach:
If a light sits too low, the effective illuminated forward distance shrinks too much, limiting usefulness when the fog clears slightly.

Legal and design standards:
Regulatory bodies (like the Department of Transportation) set strict height boundaries—typically between 12 and 30 inches off the ground—to balance ground penetration with proper projection.

Third one's best. Looks closest to stock as well. Tweak it a little if needed, perfect.

IMHO, number 1 looks good but number 3 looks better with the strip fog lights and canards that could optionally be added.

imo you are over thinking the height part.. i by no means have any idea what im talking about, but i feel like the actual "style" or pattern?, angle, color of light would be able to make up for wherever you place them.

Bumper or no bumper, please consider offering a decent front tow hook/offset license plate bracket secured to the bumper reinforcement bar (very few options available). Here is a link to a homemade offset front license plate bracket that I slapped together in a weekend as I got tired of receiving almost daily tickets for not having a plate displayed on the front bumper area when driving around town. Still functional and useful as it is over a year later.

I like that and yes my updated spec will have plenty of room for the tow hook even with fog lights. Understandable about the front license plate lol i get it

Thanks for all your replies and support and added ideas/concepts.For right now I am making 2 bumpers one simple design I am going to test quality and fitment and daily driveability etc. the other bumper with be for R&D figuring out removable splitter, fog light placement, tow hook compadablity and other features. I truly am making this to solve the oil cooler issue thats my main focus. Everything else is a mix making it good for daily driving and track days.

latest concept below. Will try different designs and post it here once the second bumper is made to play with. I will be putting on my intital post style bumper

Also, I would design this with the idea that you may end up developing a rear diffuser and side skirts later.

I am sure the demand for this sort of project is very high. I myself would have loved to buy one but the buy in of 4k is too much on top of having to paint it.

Its 100% moving forward I will post updated pics as the bumper is being made. It is already in process just takes time for the mold etc

I understand Spoon price now its NOT cheap at all especially initital tooling costs and I cant lose money on this I already almost lose money on my downpipes haha but my goal is under 2k thats my goal but we will see.

I will be doing full kit but I need to get the final concept down and produced so I can match it all around. Its excting times for SBX!

not next week LOL few months this is a big project compared to other ones. I will update as i go
