Does the car cut fuel or ignition timing at the rev limiter? I was revving out in 2nd gear today and accidentally allowed the car to hit the rev limiter and I felt a hard fuel cut instead of what I thought should have allowed me to be bouncing off the limiter? From what I've heard, fuel cut...
Top Tier may not be enough to keep these direct injection engine clean. There is now a new Top Tier Plus list.

Agreed. You really don't want to be injected where circled since that would need to go through the turbo, intercooler and long charge pipe tubing before getting to the actual intakes...if it would make it there at all. Does our car have a MAP sensor right before the intake in the back of the...
I found a fuse (#26) called TCU in the engine bay fuse box. However, it's uninstalled from the factory. If so, why is my TCU still working perfectly fine?
I just wished there was some way that it can be disable through the OBD port so I can easily revert back in case I need to for whatever reason.
I was able to turn off the fake noise on my wife's S3 via the OBD port using a scanner tool called OBD Eleven. Just wish there was something similar...
What's the point of a tune if you can't drive it hard? IMHO, they should tune it for 91 and give you a slight bump in performance if and when you use 93, or have separate tunes/maps altogether like most tuners (separate 91 and 93 tunes).
Sound clip won't be able to truly reproduce it. Heck, even the stock exhaust sounds loud given the right recording condition. Unfortunately, you'll have to find someone with that exact same mod to truly judge it for yourself in person. I was lucky enough to find someone near me to have a...
As someone who just sold a used car recently, believe it when I say that the potential $1-$2k more is NOT worth the hassle or headache! So many tire kickers that asked you a bunch of questions and then disappeared. Then you have those that went as far as setting a time to see the car, but only...
That would be my guess as well (maybe the rear muffler is also deleted?). I have my mid resonator deleted, just like OP and it's not that loud. As a side note, if the rear muffler hasn't been mess with and the valve is still intact, then check to see if the fuse for the valve is pulled. If it...
4 gallons of water weighs about 33lbs, which most of it can be offset with a light weight battery. But I think the intent of it is to not only to keep the engine performing optimally, but also to be able to stay on track, longer without overheating?
I'd asked about this about a month ago => https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/brake-squeaking-at-low-speed.64689/
Appears to be "normal" from all who has responded, but unable to identified the root cause.
Thanks! Please let us know where you end up going with (I'm also in SoCal) as I'm also considering getting the kit. If I can only find that foam surrounding (shown in my previous post) would definitely seal the deal for me.
