Hi all,

Have you all noticed there is a weird gap happening on the hood of the 11th gen sedans that is not uniform? See picture attached

The hood gap is different in the middle than on the sides. Wondering if this is an alignment issue or is actually designed like this.

I am looking forward to real world pictures of the hatchback to see if the same happens there.

I have noticed that. And it seems to be evident on even some of the show cars from the reveals. It almost looks like the latch that holds the hood down is too tight/small and is bending the hood downward slightly. It seems only noticeable from certain angles but is none the less a bit annoying.

Ok, so I am not crazy then. Agreed, it definitely should be an easy fix, hopefully production catches with this detail soon and can improve it.

No, definitely not crazy, I've seen others make mention of the uneven hood gap on other threads and forums. At this point, with the cars developed and in production, I'm assuming this is intentional for some reason (possibly having to do with the fact that the hood is aluminum now) as opposed to just an error they didn't catch, a bit too obvious for that.

Hopefully, this issue is an easy fix like merely adjusting the rubber stops so the hood sits more flush.

Yes, this is one of the worst things I feel about the car when I first saw it. The hatchback appears in the Japanese market intro has a better fitment.

The TLX has a better fitment too.

Better take it into the dealer and point it out. The more people point out defects the sooner you get a recall.
