I must have missed it, but did Civic prices just go up another $400?

32k MSRP (plus mark-up) for a Sport Touring is making me reconsider my options. Does anyone think prices will become more reasonable in 2023?

Yes each new year the cost typically goes up a few hundred even if the cars are unchanged from the previous year.

SI went up about $600 and there were no changes.

Plus destination and most of the colors are an additional $400 for the paint.

It's cheaper to buy a Integra at MSRP or below. More power and comfort. Both 5 doors.

I’m considering the Integra. The Civic has a few more features than the A spec and is 7 inches shorter. I would prefer a smaller car. Also, I don’t like the high lift over for the rear hatch in the Teg.

Price just went up another $500. That’s $1000 in MSRP since the 23’s came out in November.

In that case, some alternatives. New prices are before $7500 tax credit:
A lot of Tesla conquest sales are from people trading in Hondas.

People seriously looking at the Type R are not cross-shopping Telsa...

You're correct but this thread isn't about the Type R; look at the thread title again. It's for people who're shopping the Civic Touring trims and, possibly, the Integra and CRV. Quite a few of those will at least look at Teslas now given rampant ADMs on regular Hondas (Civic, CRV).

Oh sorry. You posted the same thing in 3 threads. Wasn’t sure which one I was replying to.

While I applaud your optimism the reason Tesla is likely doing it is due to lower sales and a severely diminished share price. Kinda comparing apples and oranges in my mind. Also as gas prices come down again electric vehicles make less sense.

I anticipate that we will see another MSRP increase before years end. Then 2024 will be even higher. Inflation isn't really going away and if anything is hitting the car market later. These cars will continue to get more expensive. The only hope in waiting is that ADM and interest rates will adjust in the meantime.
