Anyone Had Success with Dome and Map LED Replacements

Has anyone done this successfully? I watched a youtube video that made it appear to require dropping the entire headliner. Is there another way?

I was thinking of replacing mine with red LEDs, but definitely not going to all of that trouble for it.
