Automatic Braking - permanent off mode?

Is it possible to get the auto braking to stay off on restarts? I swear it was off when the car was first delivered to me and has only stayed on after I started messing about with the settings. So far I haven't found it to be too bad, the alarm makes me chuckle - but I've driven a POS rental with this system and it nearly got me rear ended when it thought it knew better than me.

It seems odd that it keeps turning back on while LKAS stays off (thank god, I hate LKAS!) on restarts.
