wondering if it's a common issue but has anyone else experienced a power cut at limiter in an FL5? No, I'm not just banging limiter, (well kinda) I'm doing autocross and there's no time to shift. car will hit 7K, hold it on limiter for like .2 seconds, then slowly back off with my foot still on the floor. Searched hondata for any parameter that fits that description to no avail.

Sounds like there's a dead band to allow reset. It's trying to protect the engine, though repeatedly banging the limiter isn't considered the best.
I've abused motorcycles at the rev limiter, but wasn't expecting them to last 100k+ miles.

Haven't experienced that but my cars BS mods, no tune. I've held it for a solid 1-2s a couple times too and no slow down.

since you mentioned Hondata, talk to your tuner and see if they have a soft limiter option. I had that in my S2K with Haltec and BRZ with ECUTek. It pulls timing up top to slow the RPM and just holds the rpm smooth vs brap brap brap at the limit.
