It's mid September so I expect we'll know something in the coming weeks. On a side note, I suspect the HRC Civic Type R will be the limited-run "swan song" akin to the Limited Edition for the 10th generation.

I am assuming like the FK8, it'll be announced end of 2026/early 2027 and be made/sold 2027 for one year. I wonder what color it'll be

I interpret all of the news to mean there will be a standard 2027 Civic Type R and the HRC (or equivalent) will be a net new model a la the FK8 LE.
