I recently had to do this in order to pull out my axle enough to replace the seal I damaged while changing my springs. I tried to use a ball joint removal tool that I had in my kit but it was too small and the jaws were not setup correctly.

I ended up buying the Honda specific 07MAC-SL00102 Ball Joint Removal Tool 32mm, and would be willing to send it out to anyone else needing to do this (you cover shipping and a refunded $200 payment. Tool was $300 online, and $350 local).

I would suggest removing the LCA ball joint, and outer tie rod end with the same tool.

I would not suggest removing the strut bolts as if the strut is a PITA to get back in.

You’re awesome, man! I was thinking about this sort of thing recently. If any of us has a special tool, we should all have a kind of loaner program like what you are offering.
