(2025 civic type r) So I just flashed my car this evening, and i'm pleasantly surprised. I chose the 93 octane map, and the butt dyno felt an increase. I have two questions if anyone would like to help me out. First question, is it safe to run the 93 octane map for a while? Like maybe a few months, or should I go ahead and get a custom tune. The only reason why I want to wait is that I ordered the TSP dp. I was going to wait till I got that installed to get a custom tune. Second question, is there any where on the flashpro manager to select what parts you have on your type r. I know a few years back when I had a 2008 civic si, the flashpro would let you select what parts you have upgraded. Currently I have the eventuri intake and turbo inlet pipe. As well as the remark exhaust with front pipe.

You should aim for the custom tune at the moment you also start modifying your car. I have been running mine on the Hondata OFf the shelf map since summer 2025 if my memory serves me right, and so far everything seems fine. I will be doing my custom tune with one member here, Jester, due to the availability of tuners near me, and he has really good feedback here on the forum and is really knowledgeable by every little question I asked him. By saying that, the only mod I have and will put is a drop-in filter and maybe maybe the matte carbon infinity design inlet. Your second question, I think, on the drop box to choose gives you different options on 93 maps with different modifications and also to put the Type S "pop and bangs," but don’t quote on that; I really don’t remember; probably another member will correct me.

Hondata OTS maps are very safe, you can literally run for the life of the car if stock. Even with certain mods, provided they don't require a tune in the first place on a stock car.

The downpipes will make no difference the Hondata tune. It will just affect the sound, the extra flow capacity will not be taken advantage of. Assuming you have the GESI cat you won't have an engine light either.

The Eventur intake I am not so sure - if the intake is certified to work without a tune it should be fine, because it will behave like stock which the Hondata tune expects.
