Besides the Pipercross, this one, and the Eventuri being released soon. Any other intake systems on the market?

This one or the Pipercross I could do in 15mins easily, the first time I needed maybe 30mins. It's amazingly simple.

The instructions were kind of weird showing pictures of 2 different intakes in the diagrams. if Dream had a pdf posted, I could of asked questions in advance of delivery but no such luck. The 4 mount holes for the airbox did not line up just right. It was an easy fix though ......... I just went up one drill bit higher in size, drilled them out and the box went in nicely. The back mounting tab near the battery needed a little love too. I bent the tab downwards about 10 degrees and then leveled it out at the hole and it fit like a champ. In all my years of modding cars, I have never seen many aftermarket parts fit correctly out of the box .......... but putting your own spin on it is half the fun isn't it? ......... ;-)

Do we know if putting a new intake in (open box or closed) will throw any check engine lights or is the stock computer smart enough to run without throwing any issues or check engine lights?

I plan on getting my fl5 CTR's computer unlocked anyway but was just curious.

So how did you like it? Any noticable seat of the pants power increase?

I just installed this intake on my ITS, I’m having issues keeping the filter from touching my hood when closed. Type s terry told me he had to trim the heat shield to make this fit properly. Did you have to trim the heat shield? I also had to oversize the heat shield mounting bolt holes. Thanks. The sounds this thing produces are addicting!

My brother has a DE5 and it fit great after widening the holes a little bit with no rubbing on the hood. On my FL5, I had to deepen the channel of the intake hose area of the box by 1/8th of an inch to get it not to rub. No big deal really ..... just pulled out my dremel and went to work on it then used a little black wrinkle paint to touch it up.
