Looks like I will be needing brakes soon.
I've been hearing good things about Paragon brake pads.
I don't plan on tracking my car, and just enjoy spirited driving around town and on back roads. I would like a opinion if I should go with the R2 or R3 compound?

I would assume R2 or any street pads would be sufficient for spirited driving. I use R3 in the front only and it’s capable for a few track days in a year.

I have Paragon P2 pads front and rear on my car with PPS1557 anti sequel shims on the rear and their PPS370 titanium shims on the front. So far I don't really think they dust less and the performance is similar though the feel is a bit different. I think the stock pads had more initial bite but the P2s are a bit easier to modulate. I do get some squeal coming to a stop when there is some heat in them, but that seems to be decreasing as I'm only at about 200 miles on the pads. I did do their general bedding procedure but I'm not sure I would recommend it, you may want to just take it easy on the brakes for a few hundred miles and bed them that way.
