I expect to see a redesigned Civic Sedan by November, in all trims except the Si. I expect the Hatch and Si will follow suit the following year, after completing their own 5 year cycle.

Honda has always followed a 5 year production shift on all Civic generations, except for MY 2011. At that time, the 9th Gen Civic was delayed 6 months to allow Honda to de-content the interior in anticipation for a global recession. It was released halfway through 2011's cycle as a 2012 model. And it was one of Honda's biggest mistakes of the last decade.

That would be a shocker to say the least. I'd say you're about a year too early. The reason I think Honda will deviate from their past schedule is the overwhelming popularity and acclaim this 10th gen has garnered.

Sales are still strong but beginning to wean. Part of it is driven by the shift to trucks/SUVs. But I suspect that Honda anticipates a more aggressive drop as the current gen becomes market-saturated.

2021 would be the 6th year for the CivicX. I doubt Honda would go beyond 6 years without a platform change, so 2021 will almost definitely be the last year for at least the regular CivicX. The CTR may go beyond 2021 in 10th gen form though.

With a recession almost assured now, Honda isn't going to rush out a new model when no one is buying cars. Next year at the earliest.

It's March 2020. We've heard nothing from Honda regarding the 11th gen. No prototype spy shots in the media. No patent drawings. This would have already happened if it was being released this fall.

A 2021 release as a 2022 model seems more likely.

To be fair, we didn't get much on the 10th Gen until the Summer prior. Most thought Honda would extend the 9th by another year since it was only on the market for 4.5 years. Aside from Geneva's pre-release of the prototype, Honda kept a lid on things fairly good up to the sedan's release in LA.

The big difference this time around is that we won't see advanced testing of the next gen CTR until (presumably) early next year. That is, if Honda sticks to the traditional 5 year release schedule.

I wouldn't be surprised if they extend production another year. But it would be a huge deviation from Honda's cycle since 1979.

Looks like it's from October of 2016. I would have believed that information back then, but with the MMC not happening until MY 2020, I doubt it'll be that fast.

You are correct, information it's from October of 2016 and actually a several changes on dates happened but I trust on information from people working on automotive plants.
As a sample for changing launch dates look on Acura TLX MY 2021, information shows September 2019 but not happened on last year, I get information Honda will start building Acura TLX MY 2021 on June or July 2020 and will be available at dealers for August or September.
