I was planning on bringing my family to the event, as we are on our spring break vacation that week. Do I need to register/pay for them also. If not, should I only mark "just driver" on the registration?

They don't need the goodie bags and plan to bring meals for ourselves.

Anything that's FRS programmable IIRC. I'll be running a baeofeng uv5rs

Any FRS radio will work. I had a couple Midland walkies my first time up. They were ok, but the Baofeng I have now is a great improvement.

It has greater range, and USB c charging which is pretty darn convenient

Most drive groups will be on channel 4
