What’s the (alert) buzz?

When I go more than 45 mph with the cruise control engaged, I’ve noticed that once I depress the clutch in order to coast to a stoplight/stop sign (NOT necessarily shifting gears), the engine rpm’s increase quite a bit, and an alert buzzer goes off. (What’s this for?) It gets rather annoying. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you disengaging the cruise control before you depress the clutch? I wonder if the increase in revs is due to the clutch being engaged with cruise control activated and maybe the beep is an alert for that. I know you can change gears with ACC activated but I wonder if the adaptive cruise control isn't sensing a need to change gear so its, in a sense, surprised by the engagement of the clutch(?) I've never heard that alert before but I usually disengage CC before I depress the clutch. Just my two cents.

As a matter of fact, I am NOT disengaging the cruise control before depressing the clutch, so what you state makes sense. Thanks for responding. 👍

You need to be going over 40 mph for the cruise control to work. The beep is letting you know that the cruise control has been disabled.

cruising throttle % doesn't change when pressing in clutch and it’s normally low enough to shift gears without noticing during normal shifts. But hold the clutch long enough it revs the same as holding the gas pedal at a stop at same %. The alert is just reminding you to finish changing gears.

OK, thanks for the info. I have another one for you that I will post shortly.
