What did you do to your FL5 today?

Looks great! How do you take the filter out when it's time for cleaning? These high flow oiled filter loses their filtering efficiency pretty quickly and requires more cleaning quite often. If install sucked ass, I would presume it's a similar procedure when it's time to clean the filter?

The air box is basically three pieces: the secondary intake (what you see wrapping over the ECU box), a top intake ducting section that attaches to all the pretty red bits, and the lower intake box that houses the filter. Essentially, you have to take the secondary and top intake portion off, and then it’s simply undoing the hose clamp on the filter. I THINK it will be a little easier than install because I understand/grasp how to make everything line up now. It will still be a pain in the ass, but considering I only put 5k miles on the car a year, I should have a while before I need to worry about servicing it soon.

Appreciate the insight! I'm still on the fence about an intake, but leaning towards the PRL since it seems to be the best bang for buck.

The PRL is hard to beat in value. This one is certainly a big chunk on change for an intake and a hard sell for a lot of people.

Spot on, the price is def up there, but obviously the design and carbon fiber material is superior seem to be worth the price tag if it's within budget.

It’s a fantastic intake. I can’t recommend it enough and when you walk up to your car see that little flash of red in the grille it brings a smile to my face every time

Well I WAS going to install my EPR Varis style lip, but upon unboxing it I found damage. I’ve messaged EPR and will see what options they give me.

Depends on how you have the seat set and if you're careful getting in/out. I'm not that tall, so the seat isn't set that far back. Being very cautious about getting in/out, but my leg is still touching the bottom of the steering wheel while my butt is still grazing the side bolter. I don't know how the material will wear in the long term. I don't have any issue with the bottom bolter as I simply go over them before falling in. I'm very used to heavily bolster seats as I drove my Z4MC for 15 years and no signs of wear in that car after all these years. But those seats were leather. So, I'm somewhat worried for the fabric, especially on the side bolster of this car.

Same here but I’m clearing the side of the bolster mostly and only find myself brushing the top. So far after a year of getting in and out many times I’m only showing minimal wear on the top. But you can brush it with your hand and it almost disappears. For me most of the wear I was starting to see was the top of seat were the seat belt rides if you don’t guide it back. I was going to buy some protective covers but took a different route lol. Cheap but effective

I have beer breath and champagne taste lol so my PRL HVI is perfect and oh man does she sound and feel good with it . Very Very Loud Whoosh Whoosh Pulls hard to!
And she still looks sexy even without red lipstick

Thanks Brother ! It was just a temporary fix until I ordered some protection but it’s working so well I left it. It’s just some Velcro the fuzzy side and it’s sticking well. I pulled up the corner to see if it was leaving any residue and it wasn’t but still sticking well. This is just some general purpose Velcro . I wouldn’t use 3m or any crazy adhesive type.
