Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce ourselves—we're the tech support team at Mangoal Dash Cam, glad to officially join the CivicXI community!

We're mainly here to help with any tech questions or troubleshooting, and to hook you guys up with exclusive forum discounts.

We know many owners here care about clean OEM-style installs and making sure everything works smoothly without dangling cables.

I've attached a quick frame grab from our setup video showing a detailed view of the connection point on the factory Honda mirror component.

If you'd like to see the full step-by-step installation process and how it looks inside the cab, check out our walkthrough video here:

This looks incredibly similar to fitcam, what's the difference?
Good question! While both use integrated OEM-style housings, the main differences are under the hood:
  • Sensors: We use genuine Sony STARVIS sensors (including STARVIS 2 options for better night vision) instead of generic sensors.

  • Internal Thermal Design: Ours uses an aluminum alloy core inside for better heat dissipation under direct sunlight, which helps stability during long drives.

  • Internal Wiring: Full FPC flexible ribbon cables inside to keep things reliable over rough roads.

  • Built-in GPS: Comes standard on our models.
So the outer housing fitment is basically the same, main difference is just the sensor and internal thermal setup. 👍

I already have a viofo so not in the market but I remember looking at the fitcam and not being impressed with the quality at all, it looked like crap. The viofo I have is pretty decent, has the starvis 2 chip as well.

Your website says the 11th gen is sold out...
Just checked on this—the 11th Gen version isn't sold out, it's actually fully in stock!

What's showing sold out on the site is actually the discontinued 10th Gen STARVIS 2 model. You should be good to order the 11th Gen version without any issues, but let me know if you need help finding the right link or checking fitment! 👍

Totally fair—Viofo makes great hardware and their STARVIS 2 setups are top tier.

I agree on some of the older OEM-style housings looking cheap. We spent a lot of time tweaking our shell texture to match factory trim and adding an aluminum core inside so it doesn't feel like budget plastic or overheat in the summer.

Standalone cams are awesome, but the clean zero-wire setup is really the main appeal for this style!

My bad on that! That was a backend inventory glitch on our site. Just fixed the stock numbers, so you should be good to check out now.

Let me know if it gives you any more trouble! 👍
