I still have my FK8 and hope to add the FL5 to my collection. Stopped by my local dealer today (I'm in MI, USA) and the salesperson wouldn't give me any information. He was basically acting like deposit taker, left with a poor feeling experience. Looks like I'll be nationwide hunting when the release actually does happen. It's a shame Honda doesn't crackdown on some of the dealer shenanigans.
They don’t crackdown because legally they can’t. Dealership franchise laws prohibit them from doing much when it comes to the sales process

Yeah, I know. Would be nice if there was "something" I guess. Asking for morality from a car dealership though is probably like pulling shark's teeth. :)

@Z3N Thanks man, not a huge Anime fan, but I have a choice few that I think are great stories. Shounin does some great artwork.

I’m 1st at a dealership with an agreed 4k over MSRP. I started calling months ago to all dealers in state and surrounding, lucked out! I hope everyone is right about the 12th

Possibly October…but we are going to see a delay for sure.

We will be lucky now if the car shows before Christmas

It only takes one. One single Type R to make it into someone’s hands before Jan 1. I still think that guy looses this bet.

Once people in this forum start getting their Type Rs, we need to set a date in the future and all meet up somewhere. Have a massive celebration and then go form a 5 lanes wide Type R rolling blockade on the highway. I'm down!
