So many S2K owners. Yet I hardly see them around anymore.
We are out there for surešŸ˜‚. But its like you said you never see them around.
It's the sampling bias the forums always accentuate. I also very rarely see an S2000. When I see one it's like seeing a relic from a past life. I suspect I will buy one in the future.

On that note, I still have yet to see an FL5 on the street yet there are so many of us here. The sampling bias is an interesting phenomenon.

Yes dude I agree!

I have yet to see another FL5 in the wild too. I went to a cars and coffee the other day and I was the only FL5 in the whole event. There were 2 Huracan STO’s over there and I was dumbfounded. šŸ˜‚

Hey y'all! New here... still waiting on my CTR, but I have some other fun cars, a 2011 Ferrari 458 and a 2008 BMW M3 (e92). I love a good NA V8 but always had love for Type Rs. Originally wanted to get my high school dream car, a 2001 Integra Type R... but prices are crazy and to the point I could get the CTR for almost the same price so I went that route instead. Super excited to get it.

You’re right. It is sampling bias. As far I know, there are maybe 3 FK8s in my neighborhood when I had mine. Now with the FL5, Iā€˜ve seen none. Every now and then I will see a yellow and black S2K in my neighborhood. But that’s about it. I think it’s still early to see many FL5s out there. Maybe in another year, we will see more.

Do we know how many have been allocated and sold in NA?

@StevenMatchett has done a great job with the data. I truly appreciate the work he has done on this. It has helped me tremendously with ancillary analysis. Not sure if you're familiar with this website, but these figures gets you at least in the ballpark. I cannot speak to data integrity; however, I believe 2,788 is a decent approximation.

no, but will take a look. My CTR is in the low ten thousand range. Maybe from 10,000 to 10,500 is for NA. Will never know.

Just a heads up, It does not feel like an old school honda so don’t go in expecting that. Its a great car and really good all rounder.

Thanks! I'm excited for it and don't have any expectations, other than to just enjoy having a manual again. Both my other cars are DCTs.

Then you are good to go my friend! Enjoy! Just did not want you to expect a old school honda feeling since you liked the type R.

Oh that old school Honda feeling. I couldn’t afford an ITR when it first came out but I did buy a 2000 Civic Si. That was awesome. I do miss it.
