I removed the TCU long time ago
I was still able to connect Apple CarPlay wirelessly
However, Apple CarPlay kept disconnecting randomly, sometimes it would re-connect, sometimes it would not
CarPlay uses a combination of Bluetooth and WiFi. Bluetooth does not have enough speed/bandwidth...
Thanks
As far as being safe, I find that with my FL5, I am much more conservative than with my previous FA5.
Might have to do with ripe old age of 62 and/or the fact that the FL5 was much more expensive, and I do not want to risk it...
Ape style = no precision, no finesse, no smoothness, no...
Thank you!
I didn't want to mess with the wheel offset and geometry, since I know less than nothing about it... I'll expand my search for lightweight wheels at +50 to +60.
I am not sure which post(s) I saw that mentioned that the best suspension improvement was a rear swaybar...
The RV6...
I am not too concerned about unsprung weight, it is just that I only found out about the importance of unsprung weight yesterday. so naturally, being OCD, I started fretting and searching for lightest weight wheels (and 9lb LiFePO4 battery)
My FL5 is the first car I ever modded
Obviously, I have very little experience modding, for example, I just learned about the importance of unsprung weight...
I do not plan to race or track, but I do drive "enthusiastically".
I'd be the first to admit that I am not a very good driver, I...
I just learned about the importance of lower unsprung weight (I always assumed that wheel choice was just for aesthetics, which i don't care at all about)
so I started reading and researching about unsprung weight and lightweight tires
I always planned to get 35 profile tire (265/35R19 on the...
Same predicament as OP. but now that I learned about unsprung weight, I am looking at lighter weight wheels
I want to keep same geometry as OEM, which I believe would be +60
and since I want a bit more side wall, i.e. 35 profile, I believe that I should go with 18" wheel with 265/35R18 tire...
thanks
I am looking at lightweight wheels.
I want to keep same geometry as OEM, i.e. 19x9.5 +60
wondering if I should keep 19" or go with 18" i.e. 18x9.5 + 60
before I was looking at lightweight wheels, I was planning to go with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 in 265/35R19 on the OEM...
I will not spend $950 for Antigravity, but I might spend the $230 for the Mighty Max
I am 6'0" 170lb not easy to lose 30lb...
as mentioned above, the car is an almost a daily driver, and I do not plan on racing or tracking it.
Thanks,
I did not realize this about wheels / unsprung weight
I always thought about choosing wheels as just for looks, and I never cared much about vanity...
Which wheels would you recommend for lightest weight?
It is my daily driver (though I work from home, so it is more like a...
Agree, there is no doubt that Antigravity is the better battery, specs and components, but is the MightMax good enough?
As I get older and can afford them, I started evaluating and choosing more expensive tools and parts, yet I find that expensive does not necessarily means better, or a better...
Yet the Mighty Max is even lighter and much cheaper, the Antigravity is 60% heavier and over 310% more expensive.
any reason not to purchase the Mighty Max?
