Now I want one but don't want to do the install by myself. I wish yall were closer.
I am a software guy.

Yet I found out that taking my time, reading instructions and looking at videos makes installation of "stuff" fairly easy (if you have the necessary tools, for example the tool that removes the fragile plastic fastener thingies that hold body parts together, I broke so many when attempting to use a screwdriver till I found, here, that there are special tools designed for removing the fasteners.)

The bypass valve seems fairly easy install, waiting for some sort of sale (black Friday?) before I pull the trigger on it, and some other 27Won parts...

Installing the COBB intake was fairly straight forward installation.

the most challenging part was when I re-installed the ECU, and was done tightening the battery cable, the socket flew off the wrench as I pulled the wrench off the battery. unfortunately, it did not make it to the ground. If I recall correctly, it ended up on top of the lower suspension part... took over three hours of jacking and removing parts both from the top and bottom to find it...

Bad Ann LV front guard was the most challenging and I had to use a Dremel tool to enlarge some holes, and use longer bolts.

Hybrid Racing short throw shifter was tedious, mostly taking the center console apart.

Great insight! Very true to have the right tools, I've wasted so much time and ruined so much on my FG2 back in the day.
Seems like modification in general is a pain.

Do you guys know if the steering wheel red H emblem is an easy popout or does the steering wheel need to come out? Would I be able to carefully pry it out?
Mine looks like it has knick at the top, I wonder if they tried removing it before. If it's an easy swap, I'll get a replacement.

Those steering wheel badges are on there pretty permanently and they do not sell them separately from the airbag. I would say, depending how deep it is, you just tape off around it and get a polishing compound and try to rub/polish it out if possible.

Need a quick suggestion on the best overall engine oil and filter combo I should use.
Saw @Chilly613 change oil yesterday. Trying to buy all the tools and whatnot to do it myself.
Which ramps did you get? Looks like this kind of (Car Ramps)..

Those look a little too high profile, I got a set of low profile ramps off Amazon. I bought these:

11th Gen Honda Civic New Type R (FL5) Owner! 19213

Also I just stick with OEM filter and mobil 1 EP 0W-20

Isn't it too low? Are you able to get under the car comfortably?

These are the ramps I use, they work well since I'm at stock height still. https://a.co/d/03fWwBuv

Low profile ramps are more for getting a jack under your car than to use as ramps for doing an oil change.

You do what you want with regards to the oil and a filter... I'm not going down that rabbit hole of discussing what type of oil and filter to use.

I did a lot of research about oil and filter.

For the oil ended up getting Mobil 1 ESP Full Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-30

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mobil-1-ESP-Full-Synthetic-Motor-Oil-0W-30-5-Quart/1756386056

For the filter I ended up with Purolator One (not BOSS), but PGI is now ramping up Fram production (Fram Ultra Synthetic and the similar Amsoil both made by First Brand were the best most efficient in filtering sub-20 micron particles), and they might or might not use the original First Brands design. Waiting for someone to cut one of the new Fram filters open. PGI's own filters might also be good, but I was not able to find new/current independent tests, only older test which showed Fram Ultra Synthetic was the best.

I bought ramps, but I ended up just jacking up the car from the center jack point and using jack stands left and right.

I also use ValvoMax system to drain the oil

https://www.valvomax.com

and have rubber pads for the top of the jack stands and pinchweld pad for the jack

Here is a PIC of my DWS 06+ in 275/30R19…Very happy with them being an all-season tire.

Very nice! Do you have a side pic of the car? - curious how it looks from a few feet away with a wider tire.

Thanks...Regarding the 275/30R19 DWS 06+ tire, they look a very small amount wider than the OEM 265/30R19 tire. Reason being is that the DWS 06+ tire is known to run narrow and has a softer sidewall in comparison. That said, if you are looking to upgrade to an all season tire with more sidewall, I would recommend going with the 275/35R19 DWS 06+ tire.
