@BuntaTypeR I am running the Paragon P3 up front with their 370mm BBK. Setup is mostly quiet with some super minor squeaking right when you come to a stop in certain conditions. They did fine on track. Dusty but should be expected and not too far off from OEM pads in that regard.
A lot of...
I have the PWR track spec rad already. Water temps are fine now but oil temp is still a big question mark. Definitely want to get an actual sensor for oil temps before I send it on oil cooler. Until then, cool down laps are in my run plan (currently needed for the stock PS4S tires anyway until I...
I'm a little hesitant to tune this car since it already runs pretty warm on track. More power and boost will just make it worse and require more cooling mods. I'm sure I'll do it eventually though.
Call me a ricer but I would do it 100% for the sound if it was a good enough improvement.
I have a K&N drop in currently (purely for sound). I also have aftermarket filters/intakes on my other 3 vehicles so I'm not concerned about reduced filtration.
I am not considering the non-sealed "open...
Most of the videos I've seen of this intake (including this one) just make it sound like a drop in filter upgrade but slightly louder. I'm sure the videos aren't doing it justice based on the way people describe the way it sounds but it really isn't making me want to purchase one.
For people...
@PointByPatrol I am curious what you had on for safety gear. Just a helmet and gloves or do you have one of the 3 point belt compatible head & neck restraints?
Glad you are okay and hopefully you can get the car replaced and recover swiftly.
I used to have a turbocharged Accord that had an exhaust cutout routed to the stock ~2" exhaust and when the cutout was open it would run an open 3" downpipe. Basically the 2 extremes for exhaust flow.
One thing I observed was the open downpipe setup had amazing midrange and top end turbo...
@void* I might be the minority here but I have a pretty highly modified S2000 that I've been tracking for about 10 years and I've had 4 failures that have resulted in needing a tow to get my car off the track or onto the trailer. Definitely would not have been ideal for me to get the tow hook...
Some of you were interested in my tow strap setup so instead of hijacking someone else's thread, I made my own. This setup will obviously not be for everyone so if you don't like it or want to go with a different solution, that's awesome. Honda definitely made it tricky/impossible to come up...
I have the rear tow hook and there are fitment issues. The hook does not screw all the way in and there is binding between the sheet metal and the side of the shaft. This is not super obvious so I'm not surprised nobody has mentioned it yet. It might also just be specific to my car.
The rear...
Not at all for me, I think it's perfect. I haven't done a ton of long highway drives though.
I built a Titanium "track edition" conversion for fun and even that wasn't too bad but bugged me enough to switch it back after a couple weeks.
It's always hard to judge different people's noise...
Milltek is MIG welded with slip joints also and costs over 1K more than AWE so that "simple answer" isn't actually the answer in this case, though it is generally true.
@LaFlamaBlanca the reasons Milltek should be more $$ than AWE is the use of the factory valve, more premium tips, and they...
@UJX did you end up shooting more videos? I currently have the AWE touring and am interested in getting the TSP downpipe but I don't want to make the car too obnoxious. Did you install both at the same time? Curious how much of a difference the downpipe makes to the noise level.
