  1. For occasional track use , which oil viscosity to use? Using oil data sheet for guidance

I live in a very hot climate, my car has a lot of power and I track the car a lot. 0w20 is some emissions bullshit. Most cars on 0wXX are having many lubrication problems. Bmws are scratching head journals, even type R´s have a bad rep on the nurburgring because not only they overheat but they...
  2. For occasional track use , which oil viscosity to use? Using oil data sheet for guidance

Very heavy oils caused weird behaviors on my car. Probably due to the oil pump design. With that said, I now run 5w40 with no issues edit: Just to add a litle more information: WIth heavier oils like 300v 5w50 the oil pump struggled to build full pressure on cold starts. That is a very weird...
  3. All the Available Aftermarket FMICs are Bad

I have every possible cooling mod you can think off, and I do have the PRL intercooler. It is indeed an overweight brick but it is also very effective at cooling the inlet air charge. I would love to see something lighter and less restrictive that can be as effective. Either way, the FL5 has...
  4. 2025+ Hybrids... Tuning?

High performance hybrid vehicles are being tuned for years now. We do lots of Cayenne Hybrids, 330E, and many others. In most cases it´s possible to increase the power on the elctric motor as well.
  5. California FS: Stock exhaust

some people cant take a joke. Are you a democrat?
  6. California FS: Stock exhaust

$200 and you cut only the last section and ship to brazil, lol
  7. Availability for different software bases.

Hi there COBB. At this point, how does your product deal with different software bases? Anything that gets sent to you will be added to the base? Thank you
  8. Base Hondata Fuel System

They probably dont offer the 1330cc anymore. The 1530 is a far better injector and along with the hondata fuel pump can get you close to 500whp on E30 or 460ish on E60.
  9. Fully built engine

It was a joke lol. I´m not sure wether the mounts would align or not, but that is the easy part. The car is very wide so I´d assume there is some work to be done on the axles. Either way should be simple. Wiring would be near impossible if you want to make everything work like OEM. I would...
  10. Fully built engine

Depends on how skilled you are with a saw and a welder
  11. Fully built engine

There are some turkish guys making a CNC 4 port head, I wonder if anyone ever tried this. PPR I believe
  12. Fully built engine

I have to check but there might be one or another 8bit hard limiter in the code that could keep you from going past 8160 on a stock ECU but I could be wrong. I will check on that. Mclarens have great heads, such as the R8 and obviously the GT3. All of them can do over 9k very healthy. R8 has 20...
  13. Fully built engine

Ditch the R and TT the R8. lol
  14. Fully built engine

You need lots of mods to supoort revving this high. Keep in mid that revving high but not making power to redline is lame lol. you will need very big injectors and a fuel pump that can handle the revs. Built motor, big ass turbo. etc the cool thing to have would be a decent 4 port head
  15. Fully built engine

500hp is easy on a stock motor. You can probably rev to 7500 also but why?
  16. Cam question

Stock valvesprings are good to a lot of revs. but what is the point? There are many other things that will not be very happy with those revs, like the hpfp, chain tensioner, rod bolts, oil pump, etc. Also, bigger cams tend to work better with low exhaust pressures, and this is not the case when...
  17. LPFP (Low Pressure Fuel Pump) Recommendations

Another thing to consider is that the OEM fuel system relies on part of the fuel flow to feed the venturi system that pumps fuel from the tank to the pump basket. When the pressure form the fuel pump starts dropping the venturi stops working and that can cause starvation on a long pull or when...
  18. LPFP (Low Pressure Fuel Pump) Recommendations

People tend to overestimate the sotck LPFP. I benched mine against the DW300C and W535, It flows good unrestricted but the Fl5 runs a very high base pressure and the fuel lines are somewhat small so what happens after 400-420whp is that the pressure will start dropping, and this can damage your...
  19. Vito.FL5 Oil to Air transmission cooler install

Yes, but the brake duct felt more effective. THis is all a prototype, once I have a little more time I will 3d print a divided brake duct that looks decent and make a better radiator mount. I must add that I felt no difference during braking and the wear is even on both sides
