Unfortunatelly yes.
Brazil = cheap labor, high goods
Imported goods are heavily taxed here.
plus there are less the 100 FL5 here, probably less then 50
I am 100% for a vented hood, dont get me wrong! It´s on my wish list.
But in the end, I believe there are many ways of achieving good results. Little by little we will get there
I think I got something, but need to test it. Worst case it looks like it can be switched off at the ecu.
If that is the case, for people using Hondata for example would be easy to ask them to add this byte on a future update, then before the track event you could flash a new map switching it off
I don´t think it is compatible with the FL5.. I contacted them not long ago and they said it could take some time because they have other priorities. The hardware and software is 100% capable, what takes time is the can integration.
Maybe Syvecs releases something soon lets see.
Im running factory coolant, but with more distilled water.
I did adjust the fans too.
the problem is, once you beat it up at the track and oil picks up temperature, it keeps pulling the water up so it is very hard to make it drop.
it takes 1-2 cooling laps to get eater back into 200, but the...
I have tested both ways, the termostat does very little help, same as the PWR TRACK radiator.
all events were on the 100F temperature range.
What I noticed is:
THe PRL intercooler makes it a little worse.
the thermostat makes minor differences, because it is very hard to get the car under...
Its in my plans, but not for now, since I have to get the cooling sorted out first, but if someone has a spare ads unit and can post a high quality picture of the board, it would help
Havent anyone opened a stock ADS module yet? because usually, solenoid control means that the circuit has means to adjust output current. usually circuits that control current have a calibration resistor. This could be replaced to make the car softer or harder, or even be replaced with a digital...
It is possible, if you zero out both tables. But remember you still have to divide the "boost value" by the atmosferic pressure in order to have this table work as "direct boost"
Still, this is not the proper method to tune this ecus, it should be done via torque request tables, not sure why...
There is no sensor, but as many other things, it is calulated. To understand the pressure at the turbocharger inlet the ecu measures ambient pressure and then calculates the pressure drop at the intake tube, like this:
this is pressure drop as a function of air mass.
Now to know the actual...
A thermostat delete on a stock system would not be very benefitial since you would still have lots of water flowing in other directions.
The "street friendly" version of what I mentioned, would be adding a valve to the heating hose, delete the trans cooler, and replace it with an oil cooler...
Now to finish before I go to sleep. A couple cool things I tested this week that may interest:
âś… Increased rev matching response: This worked wonders, helps downshifting faster at the track.
âś… Unlocked ECU code clearing with the engine on.
âś… Full exhaust flap control. In my case I have now...
I am working on it, I am trying the easy way, by software. If that doesn´t work it could be dan via a CAN device that mimics the pedal dance signals. Easyer said than done but can be done
